I'm dithering whether to go or not. If I do, they'll undoubtedly play poorly and lose. When I was a kid, my City supporting extended family would take me to as many games as possible, because I never seemed to see them lose, I was their lucky mascot. But these days I think I'm the opposite and my attendance is a portent of doom.

 

Forecast looking fine with very little rain and bit of wind which should help the pitch dry. This week will probably have been the biggest test for the pitch drainage, if this was a couple of years ago there's no way the match would be on.

I could see that back line letting in four or five.

And it's about the best back line we can field.

Don't get me wrong, I think we can outplay Harrogate, they're not very good, but that back line is chronic. If things start going wrong, heads will drop.

We wouldn’t have deserved to snatch it but you’re absolutely right - we were actually on top when we scored that perfectly good goal (which the ref and linesman both signalled as a goal until Piergianni got in their ears).
Who knows what would’ve happened those last five or ten minutes

 

So we are saying that we have a scouting network but it had not identified any central defender we could have gone for - loan or permanent at short notice. Surely there is always a risk you could lose players who are coming to the end of contracts.

The bloke was dire. He had the turning circle of an oil tanker and for his height and bulk he got beat far, far too many times in the air at important times.

Have a look back at the highlights this season with all the headed goals we've conceded and see how many much smaller men are out jumping him to score.

We'll have to agree to disagree with regards my comment "public Humiliation" but to quote names on a radio post match interview doesn't get any more public than that IMO.

FCD has his whole career in front of him, a young kid maybe he was a little intimidated and possibly frightened of approaching a man like Adams, without doubt Canavan after a good start to the season his performances got worse, some saying he had a bigger turning cycle than an oil tanker, and even for a big unit and 6'4" he was not as commanding in the air to the latter end.

 

Some might argue although we have concede from both corners/set pieces etc were our keepers as commanding as they should have been, not many have defended either keeper this season, we certainly don't seem have that aerial domination for two recognised CD at 6'4" and the other 6'3"

 

I am not sure he is a footballer. So fits in well with a lot of our players.
