As I said pity it was not on that clip, I thought he was clear when the lad brought him down.

It was as though they played the entire game hoping for a draw. A good team would have stretched us tonight with an extra man, in truth thats the most comfortable i've seen us in weeks. They were lucky with the goal as well, it was a great save at first from McGhee.

Described as a 'blatant dive' on their forum.

Looked soft, but no softer than some other penalties we've won (a recent Connolly one springs to mind).

We're certainly getting our share of penalties, but Shay made it happen with a very direct run that gave the referee a decision to make. Whether he got it right, I don't know, but I'd sooner our players produced thrusting runs into the area than fanny about with it. Points to McCartan for that.

to be fair, it was a pressure game. Lose that and his p45 was waiting for him.

Well it's clear that Bowyer for some, cannot do anything right. That's OK.

But we've seen tonight that he hasn't "lost the dressing room" and it appears that difficult player decisions taken have galvanised the remainers.

Fans? Those l work with are not happy but generally behind him. This "noisy" Bowyer out forum still shows 35+% not wanting him out, probably due to the lack of alternatives promising better results with this squad.

    Long way to go yet.

We allowed them as much of the ball as they wanted it was working yet some of our fans still want us to chase a possession based side with 10 men. I sometimes wonder the intelligence of football fans.

Cheltenham knock it about well so its no surprise they bossed any possession stats. As soon as the red card was dished out it was backs to the wall stuff. We almost held on.

The players - who we questioned - were up for the fight and were tough to break down.

Doyle and Vaughan can both feck off. We gave it our best last night without them, dispelling the theory (which I also believed) GB may have lost the dressing room.

We need to cash in on the soft run now but dropping Reeves and Taylor made us a much better side.

Another massive stroke of luck last night. Clear dive for another penalty. Can't see how Bowyer will just change his whole philosophy and let the creative players express themselves. Bowyer Ball will mean that we have to hope for pens or free kicks as he doesn't know how to create chances for the team. Seeing names like Grigg etc.... banded around. What's the point under the current regime? Big bucks for big named strikers just to be used incorrectly would be a waste of money in my opinion.

It is frustrating because we have been calling for commitment from the players. We got it last night but, in the case of Devitt, he was rather over enthusiastic and got two early yellows for his endeavours. At least he'll only miss one game. We need him and Cooke in the middle as both are willing to push on rather than slowing the play down as others do.

I don't think he really is a football manager. He doesn't appear to have any of the qualities required. He seems like someone who's been given the job as a result of some sort of mistake. He might really be an accountant.

I guess its all opinions but I thought we nearly pulled it off yesterday. Even with 11 we're not gonna match a side in the possession stakes when their whole game is based on it. I'm not BowyerS biggest fan but I won't begrudge him a bit of credit for trying what he did. That said, the bar is very low at the moment, I want to see what the reaction is on Saturday. Another woeful away performance and its not gonna be pretty. Hopefully a signing or two to replace Doyle and the problematic Vaughan may everyone a lift.

Unless there’s been a change of rule that forbids it why didn’t our keeper waste a bit of time by ambling over to the other side and kicking it for a change to the other wing. And, as I posted last night) why did Bowyer bring two subs on at once rather than say a minute apart. I was very disappointed by our poor quality of time wasting!! (Tongue in cheek comment before anyone starts!)

My highlight was Charlie getting the ball and running up the steps with it.

Warnock as a long term solution is a non starter I agree
But get him in between now and the end of the season with his successor at his side
This club needs a shake up from top to bottom JR MAY know a thing about the financial side of things but no idea on the playing/ management side we haven't had a football man to influence things for a long time now
Everyone currently at VP would learn from Warnock and hopefully carry some of his ethics through to next season
We have been a "nice" club for too long this is the second season running things have turned toxic fans won't stand a third
Let Warnock kick arse from top to bottom and hopefully Dreareys out the door I dont know of a better man to get this club back on track

Cheltenham haven't won away from home in the league since October. I'd say a win for them on Tuesday night is practically nailed on. Reversing other teams poor form is what we do.

Rhodes and Rupp should ask themselves 2 questions. “Is the present squad capable of promotion?” And “is Bowyer the man to deliver it?” My own answer to that would be yes and not a cat in hells chance, so on that basis I don’t see the prospect of a new managerial appointment as much of a risk. It’s not exactly like we’re going places under Bowyer. This squad needs a level of direction and coaching that him and his clown assistant are unable to deliver.

My point is that with the same group of players a new man in charge implemented tactics and motivation that worked.
Bowyer is stubborn, he’s never gonna change his style, the players look de-motivated and a change is needed. I believe Warnock would take us up this season and probably next, survive in Championship then hand over the reigns
