God that was ground out but I'll take it. Below par today but a wins a win!

Definitely. Stuart would have said we played well for a 0-1 loss.

 

The lack of pace in attacking areas is still a problem. If we can add a quality winger, I think we have a chance at the playoffs, I really do.

 

Dawson superb and composed (for is age and experience) and Barrow looked a threat and in good form so overall a good ......sorry great result

 

Yer, 3 games in 7 days is tough.

Some will say "they've had a long rest" but that in itself isn't great - they almost had too much or too long of a break!

Still, a free week now to prepare for Saturday.

That was a real physical battle that we would have lost ie Newport

 

Good win against an improving team like ourselves , show's how far we've progressed recently to get the job done - albeit not in a convincing way ... however another 3 pts and the play offs rather than relegation more likely.

 

I agree about the lack of pace.

Don't agree about the chance of the play offs. Too late. 9 points off them and I think that's a big ask considering the games come round all the time now.

 

Can I just say after the pandemonium of the first half, that the 4th division defender in AOC had a very solid second half.

You know, he is a rather good defender for our level.

Best win under T&S.... Rolled up sleeves, defended in the main as a unit, took our limited chances against a good strong, direct Barrow team. We wasn't at our best but we ground out the result.

Imagine Mark Marshall or Kyle Reid out wide, they'd have a field day. Got away with it today, we weren't at the races as a team but we've had a couple of draws that should have been wins so I'll take that.

 

How could Barrow be down there near the bottom. Well organised and very competetive - a bit of a cliff hanger and we were hanging on a bit towards the end.

 

Take you negativity elsewhere Fordy, playoffs here we come.

 

I thought with the big lad Quigley winning so much ball and getting Barrow back in the game with the pen we might have brought Canavan on to match him in the air, that is not a criticism just thought he played the target man well.

 

Just like us. Lots of personnel changes and a new manager.

To be fair I thought we made them look a better side today, that was a bang average performance from us, although they don't look anywhere near as bad as the likes of Grimsby or Southend.

 

Impressed with the new Barrow and maybe deserved something from the game, However taking Sutton off was a mistake that gave them some more initiative , Hard fought win which is sometimes how it is in football
