Since we beat Grimsby Town in April 2021, we have won 12 times in 43 home league games.
    Shocking stat!

Mentality, tactics, quality. The squad is too big but lacking in a couple of key areas, though with that said, the manager should be getting much more out of it.

Hughes has now managed us for 23 home games. Won 8, Drawn 8, Lost 7. Very, very mid table home form, and he's essentially had 3 squads to do it with; the one he inherited, the one he built in the summer and the one he has now after reworking it in January. Its not improving, his changes don't seem to make sense.

I'd say we have a 30% chance of play offs and zero chance of top 3. And I wouldn't fancy us in the playoffs if we get there.

I don't think the fans get on the players back when we can see they are trying to push forward and make something happen. Its when we are drawing or losing and still show no sense of urgency that the fans start to show frustration

Any number of reasons, but bottom line is Andy Cook is shite and does nothing but score :) Ha Ha

Teams come here with nothing to lose and know if they can keep us quiet for the first 30 minutes panic will start to set in with the players and the fans with fans getting on the players back. Of the 6 home games we've won this season we've been winning at half time in all of them with 4 of them we were winning at 30 minutes. The only equaliser we've scored at home this season was the 95th minute goal against Wimbledon. They will know that if they can get in level at half time they have a great chance of getting a draw as a minimum. Also we've only kept 6 home clean sheets with 4 of them coming oin the first 5 home games which will be another source of confidence for the away side that they'll always get a chance.

    Crawley.
Poor finishing. Should have been 3 up before they scored.
    Swindon.
    Robbed by refereeing decision.
    Rochdale.
Lost our heads after another poor refereeing decision.
    Mansfield.
Lapse in concentration by team allows overload.

    That leaves Barrow and Stockport.
Both teams well organised at the back and scored 1st against us.
So for me only 2 games where you can blame the manager for not adapting the team to what was in front of us
The rest the players are at fault or the officials.
But I will say again, horses for courses very much this season.
    Wimbledon, Barrow, Stockport.
    Played twice and not beaten.
    Harrogate, Salford, Stevenage, Tranmere.
Played twice and won both .
    Nearly did double over Mansfield.
There's a pattern of teams we thrive against and teams we struggle against.
    Why is the big question?
We drew against Doncaster 0-0 cos they shut up shop with 10 men.
But we dominated possession and chances.
They will come and play against us Saturday which will suit us.
It's the Colchesters and Crewes that we need to adapt and find a way of beating as we didn't score against both in the early reverse fixtures.

I dont mind teams shutting up shop or changing tactics to stop us playing to our strengths...... what I cant abide is no shots on target mularkey...... nil shots against a average to goodish team.......... baaba

There is a reason Hughes was out of work for three years, I think we have found out why over this season. Near the end of his time at Fulham, the players stop listening to his instructions and tactics.

Once again those in charge have gone for quantity over quality. They did exactly the same 12 months ago - we never learn!!!

I have no idea why we signed Nevers and Costello when we already had Cook, Oliver, Derbyshire, Eisa, Pereira and Banks.

He's probably referring to that Brede Hangelande interview from a few years back, if was circulated when Hughes came in but dont think many were fussed.

Basically they were doing crap until Christmas, players had a meeting to ignore Hughes tactics, finished 8th. Gives Hughes credit for just letting them do what they want rather than making them stick to his plan.

I can hardly believe that stat, but yet I can. We hardly ever win. I was optimistic at the start of the season, but that is because we won a few at the end of last season. New manager and team, and I thought here we go it’s our turn, but I was also strangely anxious at the same time.
It really is soul destroying losing at home all the time, because even the draws have been excruciating.

Until we have players from the defence and midfield contributing goals, we are more ruthless from set piece free kicks and corners to help break teams down at VP we will struggle to make it a fortress.

A lot closer than you think from Bolton, just 7 points. Hang on against Bolton when 2-0 up at half time reduces that to 4 points then so many dropped points in home draws against the likes of Bury, Oldham, Gillingham and failing to see out wins at Fleetwood and Scunthorpe when leading in both games. We came so close to automatic promotion that season. Played lovely football that season though, been watching the 16/17 season highlights on u tube and it shows how far we’ve slumped since then.

I was in the Bradford End too. Such was the late crush of fans at the turnstiles, they were letting some late comers enter the ground through the offices and they streamed along the track surrounding the pitch trying to find a spot on the terraces which to squeeze into. So much for Health and Safety!
