A few stats below...If you are out of form and out of luck come to VP for a chance of 3pts eh?

Wimbledon 2-2 - had lost 4 games on the spin.
Stockport 0-1 - had lost their 5 previous away games and had 2 wins in 11.
Crawley 1-1 - away record was W0 D4 L4 and still no win in 14 on the road.
Rochdale 1-2 - 0 wins in 7 games and now 1 win in their last 15.
Barrow 0-1 - 1 win in 13 games. And only their 2nd away win this season.

Not to mention the injury time equalisers for Swindon and Mansfield. Or the drab 0-0 draws with Doncaster and Crewe.

Utterly horrific. Why are we so shite at home?

Mentality, tactics, quality. The squad is too big but lacking in a couple of key areas, though with that said, the manager should be getting much more out of it.

Hughes has now managed us for 23 home games. Won 8, Drawn 8, Lost 7. Very, very mid table home form, and he's essentially had 3 squads to do it with; the one he inherited, the one he built in the summer and the one he has now after reworking it in January. Its not improving, his changes don't seem to make sense.

I'd say we have a 30% chance of play offs and zero chance of top 3. And I wouldn't fancy us in the playoffs if we get there.

Any number of reasons, but bottom line is Andy Cook is shite and does nothing but score :) Ha Ha

There is a reason Hughes was out of work for three years, I think we have found out why over this season. Near the end of his time at Fulham, the players stop listening to his instructions and tactics.

Teams come here with nothing to lose and know if they can keep us quiet for the first 30 minutes panic will start to set in with the players and the fans with fans getting on the players back. Of the 6 home games we've won this season we've been winning at half time in all of them with 4 of them we were winning at 30 minutes. The only equaliser we've scored at home this season was the 95th minute goal against Wimbledon. They will know that if they can get in level at half time they have a great chance of getting a draw as a minimum. Also we've only kept 6 home clean sheets with 4 of them coming oin the first 5 home games which will be another source of confidence for the away side that they'll always get a chance.

I don't think the fans get on the players back when we can see they are trying to push forward and make something happen. Its when we are drawing or losing and still show no sense of urgency that the fans start to show frustration

We saw on Saturday and against Tranmere that as soon as the players do more than a couple of passes you can hear some fans getting restless and the shouts of get it forward with even some booing when we were 1-0 against Tranmere.

But it isn't after just a couple of passes is it. As you said in your first post its after 30 minutes or more. The thing is, we aren't actually very good at passing it around the back and invite pressure. If we do occasionally create an opening we generally miss it and carry on sideways, hence why Jamie Walker is showing his frustration with his team mates. He is even coming back to the edge of our own area totry and get the ball and make something happen.

Once again those in charge have gone for quantity over quality. They did exactly the same 12 months ago - we never learn!!!

I have no idea why we signed Nevers and Costello when we already had Cook, Oliver, Derbyshire, Eisa, Pereira and Banks.

Twice this season we have given up possession and conceded (at home) due to farting around. How many times have we scored because of the patient build up. It's league Two, it's probably the fastest of the four professional leagues, and unless Hughes learns that (and anecdotal evidence shows he won't) then he isn't going to succeed at this level.

He needs to wise up fast to the speed and urgency that L2 football is played at or he is going to come a cropper. So far we have only lost two games by two or more goals, how long before someone gets in early due to our "possession based football" failing and really spanks us ?

It was 204 between the centre backs on Saturday a bit more than a couple. Hughes losing it with our opponents benches is a laugh we waste far more time than any opponents

He's probably referring to that Brede Hangelande interview from a few years back, if was circulated when Hughes came in but dont think many were fussed.

Basically they were doing crap until Christmas, players had a meeting to ignore Hughes tactics, finished 8th. Gives Hughes credit for just letting them do what they want rather than making them stick to his plan.

I don’t want his head, I don’t think many fans do, we just want more from home games.
Anyway, no point calling for his head as there’s no way Sparks is sacking him this season or next.

Yes it seems to be part of our DNA. I never expect to win against lower opposition including the Conference League. Even in the Prem, we blew away cup matches to lower opposition.

We had a strange person who came and sat behind us on Saturday. His ‘vocabulary’ was severely limited and all he did was shout obscenities at the players! At half time we spoke to some of the others who sat round us, some who use occasional ‘industrial’ language and the consensus was that we would have a polite word if he started again. Thankfully he didn’t reappear!

I can understand why some get frustrated by our constant use of ‘Route Zero’, passing it round the back incessantly. It is on the road to nowhere (there is a song in that), and 77% possession and Zilch shots on goals, is a recipe for failure and disenchantment.

For me, this season has seen poor performances at home. Lacklustre, devoid of much excitement.

A concussed slug could move the ball forward with more zip, than the current players are demonstrating.

No shouts or boos from the group I go with, but we are becoming fairly disillusioned by the dismal displays and poor results.
