It also isn’t as simple as coming into contact. Track and Trace would want to know how long and how close you were and what you were doing.
During actual training distance should be kept so would be classed as contact and even during a match unless you were man marking someone it is unlikely you would class as a contact.
the time and distance is usually within 2m for 15mins

Plymouth's game still going ahead tomorrow despite 2 positive tests (1 player, 1 non playing staff). This is their statement -
Plymouth Argyle FC can confirm that two individuals have tested positive for COVID-19.
The club opted to undertake an additional round of testing following an outbreak at Leyton Orient, where Argyle played last week in the Carabao Cup.
Both cases – including one member of the Pilgrims’ playing squad, and one non-playing staff member at Home Park – are asymptomatic. The individuals will now follow Public Health England and EFL guidelines, and will self-isolate.
As a matter of course, the club has informed our most recent opposition, AFC Wimbledon, of the test results before publishing this statement.
Saturday’s Sky Bet League One fixture against Shrewsbury Town will go ahead as scheduled.
The club will make no further comment.
Interesting that two days ago, EFL guidelines were apparently for the individuals concerned to self-isolate, but according to Grimsby today, the EFL are telling them to shut down the training ground for 2 weeks and call off not just tomorrow's game but their mid week cup game and league game against us next Saturday as well. Something doesn't add up.Inspector likes this. -
Sorry, you are right Storck.

difficult one this.. as there have now been two additional CV19+ results in their playing squad, there may be further asymptomatic carriers. with the incubation period being anything between 1-11 days it would surprise me to see further positive from either club after today. just hope this doesn't come round to bite us in the next week or so.

Well done to Stevenage for going about this the right way.
The EFL need to clarify the procedures though. I get if there's an outbreak like at Orient that the games have to be called off but if only a couple of players are positive then it doesn't make sense to postpone the game.QCFC BANTAM likes this. -
Yep, spoke very well. You could tell he was pi##ed off with the Grimsby chairman.

Leyton Orient kicked out of the cup for positive cases, West Ham allowed to carry on regardless.
Leyton Orient game this weekend off, our game with Grimsby has been postponed next week, weeks clogged up with the EFL trophy.
It was bound to happen, I'm suprised we lasted 3 weeks. -

If games are to be cancelled due to on3 player having covid this season will never finish.
Incidentally does anyone know what the rules are for cancelling games due to covid. Our game against Grimsby is off due to a number of players/staff having covid. In this instances how many are effected this may help understand if games are likely to be cancelled -
