Just don’t think it’s the disaster the usual suspects are portraying this transfer window. Forget Doyle we haven’t had him most of the season and when he came back he was asking everyone with the exception of Santa to leave every day. So in effect we’ve replaced Vaughan with Novak which may be ok and replaced Oteh who few rated with the Stevenage lad. Don’t tell me people are shedding tears because Patrick and Palmer have left.

 

Good player, we’ve certainly had a strong transfer window.

 

I have no idea how he will turn out so I am reserving judgement one way or the other until I have seen him play in our team. None of us knows much about him. What I do know is that Graham Westley is a useless manager and by all accounts an insufferable person, so I don't think we should decide whether or not Guthrie is a good player based on Westley not picking him.

 

Give him a chance again as with motley Henry he’s failed before he’s kicked a ball for us . Hope none of the player read this winge fest

 

Hope he does well as you would with any city signing but my god it’s been a terrible window.

if he was a signing to replace Oteh so we had one less loan in squad then fair enough but the players we have lost and he’s replacing? It stinks this window. We have gone from having money to spend if needed to this. Big wages gone and Vaughan, Doyle and probably a decent contribution to Palmer’s wages now freed up. We got a fee for Patrick too.

what have we done with that money? What chance have we given ourselves to get out of this league? Rhodes cannot be in charge of another window again at this club. He cannot do it.

From talk of Grigg and Agard to a past it Novak and a lad who can’t get in the worst side in the football league. Total shambles all around. Season tickets will no doubt plummet

Seems a few bad apples have been let go and a few others who are not performing well enough.

Lets just see if the new lads can make a noticeable positive difference.

 

He only started being omitted from the team when Graham Westley became their manager. I can't pretend to know anything about Guthrie, but not being picked by Westley probably counts as a plus.

 

So I notice that Guthrie is a bit shit.

Some players need more time to settle than others, It is a huge move from the deep south to the bleak north, Agree he looked out of touch last night but give the lad a bit of time and more games before judging,

 

Too early to judge, although first impressions are of a panic buy to cover out going players. Scores at about 1 in 3 for his last two clubs so does have goals in him. Wait till i see him play for a prolonged period before basing my full opinion of him.
