A positive post from @Fordy117 , wow, things are looking up.

 

One of the first games since probably Millwall at Wembley that I'm really upset I cannot make. The place is going to be rocking come 2.55. K-Block getting the flags out again it would appear from twitter.

Hopefully, this buzz around the place is here to stay.

 

Some matches are must wins but this isn't it's more about getting the crowd pulling together, getting the atmosphere going, playing more attacking, creating more chances, seeing the smiles of fans faces because they believe in the club again.

Hopefully, we do come out with the win because a lot of the top 7 have some really tough games today.

Just hope that whatever team he plays, the players manage and thrive off the atmosphere in the right way. Very easy for this to turn into a Stuart occasion and get carried away. The players, aside of the new signings, are the same that have put in several unacceptable performances this new year.

Stuart is giving the club and supporters the lift we all need. Time for the players to come to the party as well. There is plenty of talent in this squad, has been all season. Time for them to show us they’re worth the shirt and support of the club. If they can’t channel today’s support in the right way, we know where the issues lie.

Gutted I can’t make today - VP will be a great atmosphere at KO - let’s hope it stays that way till 5pm.

 

Hanson and Clarke will thrive on the atmosphere and occasion today and will love to shut their critics up. Important we get an early goal and take the edge off the game.

 

Possibly the biggest James Hanson supporter at the time he was here but you're both talking absolute crap.

 

Highlight of the day was that away following, best at VP for some time. In fact having to think back to as good away following as that.

I think Grismby will climb under Holloway. Could be a playoff side next season.

Its dawning on me how much work this squad needs. Could easily see 12-15 out and 8 or so in, in the summer. Needs a smaller squad with more quality

Forget Connollys touch, his crosses were like homing missiles targeted at the first defender.

 

I said a while ago the guy makes Kyle Reid look productive, don’t see what some on here see in him.

But tbf I don’t see what some see in our squad as a whole, it’s massively overrated. It’s never going to be as simple as Bowyer leaving and ya flying up the league.

All that said for the terrible quality, at least it was enjoyable first time in a long time. Not Stuart’s fault but it’ll take a miracle imo to get this lot promoted, feck knows where the goals are coming from.

 

The introduction of Guthrie and Akpan, I assume, was meant to tighten things up with a big midfield presence and a strong forward for hold up play.

On this occasion, neither Guthrie nor Akpan came close to impacting the game.

 

I think AOC deserves a bit of credit for that. Never gave him an inch

What an improvement.

It was noticeable that we pressed hard and how many tackles did we win today? Bloody loads.

There seemed to be a pattern about our play and my MOTM was either Novak or Reeves. Both had really good games.

Reeves is like a new signing. Playing high up the pitch and picking FORWARD passes galore.

Novak looks a good signing. Strong and some nice flick ons. Not sure him and Donaldson works but let's see.

Just need to shoot a bit better.

BRE is still a liability in my mind though. Some disastrous distribution and heading all over the place.

DMH showed glimpses of good pace and good movement off the ball.

Connolly was disappointing today. Did he get any crosses in? Cant recall. Maybe he did but needs to be more effective in that final third.

O'Donnells kicking second half was good.

A vast improvement already and as SM said after the game it is definitely a work in progress.

 

Which part do you disagree with as you seemed to agree with what I said.

And what time is your wife coming to Keighley so I can avoid?

 

He could put in a motm performance and he would get slated. Not the best full back I've ever seen but he had a decent enough game today.

 

He was poor today Park, lucky to get a 5 out of 10. He's quick but theres nothing at the end of it. Unfortunately most of our creative chances fell to him today, his shooting and crossing were terrible.
