If he does leave then he's already favourite for the Sunderland job because he has links to the prospective buyers from his Oxford days.
Can't really see him leaving Sheff Utd but suspect he'd be able to do a lot better than us.

So what good did the new dress code do to improve team performance, then?

I am a new manager and have never seen what Gibson can do. Am I going to select him? Or am I going to wait until I’ve seen what he can do first? If this was the case, why would we even watch videos of players and/or send scouts? Surely the manager has to see your skills before he is going to select you?
And if Grayson hasn’t seen, in training, what we have seen from the player in gametime, I can’t see why he would choose him?
For me, this isn’t about effort in training, as such. It’s more about the player showing someone, that has never seen you before, what you can do.Stop hovering to collapse... Click to collapse... Hover to expand... Click to expand... -
We started off so well he found and himself out of the squad, there was never any way Stuart could accomodate him within the system he played Gilliead as our wide man so Gibson was overlooked no matter how hard he trained or impressed at Rawdon Meadows.
Grayson took over and his job was to stop the rot which he didn't do as quickly as most wanted, once he did he found we could not make the play offs so that was the time to give these young kids a run out, he was never going to risk kids until we were out of the running mathematically for a play off place.
I don't have a clue what the lad does in his own time but I wouldn't pass judgement on that and neither should you.
Robinson is the only development player who should be anywhere near the selected 18 for first team games but I'm not sure with everyone back and fit he would be any more than a bench player at the moment but he does look the most promising, as for Patrick he got a great goal against Blackpool and IMO the club over reacted by giving him an extension to his present contract (possibly Edins doing to prove a point about his development players) because apart from the odd flash of quality Patrick has been average at best. -

Grayson did say it wasn’t all about budget but a lot of other things. He may stay on

As Scunthorpe is potentially Grayson's last match and he has stated that there should be a major overhaul of players I doubt he has motivated many of the current team. Perhaps following the owners' desire to develop youth talent he will play youngsters in a match that is as meaningless as a pre-season friendly?
