Grayson deal nearing close

No that would be no good because it would allow you with little or no intellect to win arguments.

 

I like Gregg, appreciate he’s been a great servant to this club and of course wish him nothing but the best in his recovery from a truly awful disease, yet in football terms, I cannot see how keeping Gregg on in his role as chief of recruitment/ scout will in anyway benefit a new management team whomever they should be.

I get the continuity notion, yet in my opinion, it will only serve to hinder a new manager stamping his own authority and implementing his own ideas, and if they don’t agree on targets then the conflict is there from the start. A new manager should be allowed to bring in all of his own chosen staff, who he trusts to get the right players in. Like I say, thanks Gregg, but new manager, clean slate.

 

A few people have been putting “Gregg”. It’s “Greg”. He got nothing to do with the chain of baker’s shops as far as I know.

 

A great performance against a ten man team who finished second bottom. Well thats me convinved.

Where the f is this announcement?

 

How does everyone think this is going to pan out? If an agreement is reached that both sides are happy with and Grayson is staying, I imagine they will announce it pretty much as soon as everything is signed.
But what if they can't reach an agreement and Grayson decides its not for him - do you think we will get to hear about that straight away or do you think there will be silence until they get someone else in so that they can do a 'we've got some bad news and some good news' kind of announcement?

I personally think they will be scared to come out and say Grayson has walked away without having someone else to announce in his place. And quite frankly after that little outburst Onside, I don't blame them

If he is not staying let’s say thank you and goodbye, we can’t do anything about it. At least we will know it is going to take time to appoint a new manager.

No mention of Grayson in Simon Parker’s latest offering, just read it, more condemnation from him, and siting Darren Moore as a good replacement. He either knows or he is stirring the pot.

 

It’s hard to say whether the wait is because they are negotiating. Or are trying for another candidate before announcing anything

 

You always role out the MK Dons game for some reason whenever Reeves gets a negative mention. He showed early on that he has ability although i'm not sure what his best position is. At times he showed the qualities that made Cullen such a hit, at times he looked like another Billy Knott. He certainly isn't crap, it depends what a new manager/Grayson potentially sees in him. If Guy was to come back thats the defensive midfielder sorted out so i guess Reeves would have to play as attacking midfielder of some sort. Could be a possible partner to Guy, who knows?

 

If it takes time to appoint a new manager then Edin and Stefan have learnt nothing. They have known since they appointed Grayson in February that he may not be here next season and if they haven't got a back up plan to address that sharpish (should it happen) then they will deserve all the criticism that will be thrown at them.
