Nothing to discuss. It's about learning and listening. Unless you're black then you won't understand what they go through. This thread isn't for white supremacists to come on and I would rather it closed. I find it upsetting that people just don't want to understand, listen and learn what others going through at times.

It's not a thread for people to poison the campaign the BLM campaign. Learn and listen it's as simple as that mate. We can all make a difference. Black, White it doesn't matter, we are all human and we should all be equal.

As I say, you have no grasp of my views at all, you haven't responded to any of the actual points I've made, you've just spouted crap and flung accusations and insults.

 

The backlash worries me as much as the approach to the BLM crusade. If it were genuinely about a quest to end racism through a balanced discussion and education of history, we might get somewhere. But it isnt. And the media will only continue to whip things up into a storm. Things can turn to widespread violence and chaos quickly. I personally think that what we're seeing is just the start. Things like CHOP/CHAZ, what's the betting it'll happen here?

Not trying to be a spokesman but his posts make me feel that way. It's like he is waiting for a black person to do something wrong.

The PL players are doing a good thing supporting the BLM campaign but now we even question if they should go to the world cup? It's not about questioning a campaign it's about understanding it.

You're right. I've no doubt that the banner was intended to cause offence, it was unnecessary and provocative. I'm not defending it, but its not illegal. Free Speech is paramount in a free democracy, and its being eroded. That never leads anywhere good.

This was my thoughts exactly , he hasen't broke any current laws , which is why i said this could open a can of worms . The normal rule of thumb is if you ban something it 9 times out of 10 , makes the situation worse . The Government rule by consent not by who shouts the loudest .

 

They could tenuously link him with the breaking of some law but technically he hasn't done anything wrong, albeit ill advised and more of an attention seeker by the looks of it.

 

I asked a similar question above, not a clever thing to do but not sure what law it broke, were these protesters arrested for their banners ?.

 

One or two black players and ex players have made some very good points/comments with regards the BLM movement Micah Richards being a perfect example last night after the game.
Your comment with regards the coming World Cup in Qatar is very much a thing where the black players around the world could make a massive statement.
The thing is are they prepared to make that sort of statement to the world of football, it would be an interesting point for any football presenter to put that scenario to a black footballer, it could possible cost him his/her job but if that was the case Im sure the controversy caused by the sacking they would soon be reinstated.
