Before we get ahead of ourselves Kevin1954, we need to look at how much our fan base can afford. But then again, yes, if we go up more money will be needed. Should it come from the fans, Ruup, other investment and sponsorship in the club - or a big mix of all these? My bottom line would be that fans wouldn't argue against a slight increase in ticket prices to reflect we'd all be enjoying higher league football, but if we're to continue being a people's club, we need owner, sponsors etc to pick up the slack alot more.

I believe the general consensus is Ryan has to make us self sufficient, if his recent quote " the club’s turnover beyond £8m for the first time in its history" is correct then we should be able to beat that figure in a higher division.
Next season is taken care of but if we did get another promotion I wouldn't think another increase for season 2024/25 would be a problem.

Was talking to someone recently who works in leagues above us, that £8 million turnover that Sparks talks of won't go far. Without owner investment it will be interesting to see what prices the season tickets are set at, especially as the club is currently trying to rinse money out of a few hundred 25 year season ticket holders.

 

In an email from Ryan himself, one of our fellow posters asked me for Ryan's email address which I gave him and asked to be kept in the loop with regards his reply, which by the way he didnt recieve for a few days after sending his original email.

 

Bumped into him a few years ago at the mcdonalds near the old ronson place in Leeds he was getting a coffee for breakfast and was driving a s type jag

 

I wonder if his lad has the Bentley, I’m sure he had a business age lad when he was at VP?

 

I believe one of his lads was involved with "Beaver" where a lot of the then merchandise was from, then he was something to do with the "Arrow Taxi's" business at Leeds/Bradford Airport.

 

Yeah. I heard he owns Arrow Taxis that are at most UK airports - not just LBA.

I don’t know if he still owns it, (if it was true), as it was quite some time ago that I heard this. Didn’t he put his son (David?) on the board or give him some title at City?

 

As posted I know he was involved with Arrow Taxis a while back.
