As long as football clubs are allowed to trade at ridiculous negative end of year values then this will happen time after time.

When we have premier league clubs, with hundreds of millions of pounds in tv rights, accepted universally as "loss making", what chance do thr rest of us have?

I'd love to add further ....... Yet a quick thought has advised me to resist, as folk don't want to read a 10,000 word precis from me on what has, and continues to ruin the 'peoples game'.

Just as the bubble will eventually burst in any saturated industry, that fate awaits the PL.

 

I wonder which trialists are still with us, if any. Hippolyte played for Yeovil at the weekend, so hes gone. Chris Taylor has been training with Bury, I cannot imagine any of the trialists we have used will be offered contracts.

Also any news on Luca Colville?

 

If anyone finds out today somehow what team he`s putting out against Bolton i won`t bother tonight at BPA if it looks like mostly kids and trialists tonight unless he mixes it up.

 

Still not heard a thing, starting to feel a little strange that as we’re led to believe, he continues to train/appear for us like he’s one of our players, but not officially signed yet. What’s stalling the deal?

Possibly so Ronnie and if I were cynical I would think the top PL clubs can see it coming, hence all the talk last season of a European League.
The very top chasing even bigger money and stuff the rest and when the European league can't be funded because we have players going for £500 million we will move on to a world league.

 

Looking at the possible team Bolton could field today, is it only me who thinks it's more likely to be a 5-a-side game?

 

Bolton News in an interview with PP reveals they are "considering a behind closed doors game with Bradford City".
That suggests not today and in any event can they afford the cost of getting over here, think if it happens it will be at Bolton training ground and later this week given GB comments of a strong team tonight.

 

Maybe a good mix at both games. Maybe he will use the ones who haven’t featured much at Bolton game. Then if they come off with a twinge there’s less panic as people may not know?

 

They have 7 players waiting to sign as soon as the takeover is complete apparently I presume they will play
