    Suggestions from the Bolton end are that our team was mostly youngsters plus Vaughan and Donaldson.

    If that's correct then we may see a decent side at Avenue tonight, plus a chance to see our back up strikers.

    All it will take is the China league to get up and running and there’s a big chunk of the commercial revenue lost. I have ditched sky sports and it was like a detox. I feel better for it. I think the tv deal this year was the tip of the iceberg. Gradually the population is having less disposable income.

    From Simon Parker on the T&A blog for tonights match

    A City team were beaten 2-1 at Bolton this morning in a hastily-arranged game behind closed doors.
    Understand that was a stronger starting line-up than this one against a strong Wanderers side, despite the uncertainty that continues to hang over Phil Parkinson's squad.

    From that i would suggest the team was something like: Hornby, Mellor, French, P O'Connor, Richards-Everton, Scannell, Akpan, Palmer, Gibson, Vaughan and Donaldson

    The kids never played a league game and just a handful in the National. You’d never heard of him until today. Apparently it’s ludicrous to think he might want to play in front of City fans at VP. Fair enough.

    I’m inclined to say we have little chance but you just never know. He may feel he needs to get first team games. He’s 19 and hasn’t played in the football league. I expect we will pay similar wages. Norwich do have a great youth set up. It wouldn’t surprise me for him to go to Norwich then get loaned out
