Sorry Rod ......... A hot and more than balmy night left me tired and frustrated at the time of writing. For anyone wanting my culinary 'expertise' ........... Not all was wasted - I spent over £25 on salad 'stuff' at about 06.00 this morning ! So that's ME sorted for the next three days (apart from bread or rolls)

OH ........ An' a pack of 4 Sainsbury giant Croissants to start any day off (at 04.40 ) LOL. Goes well with either a rich Coffee on any day, but much better with fresh Strawberry jam an' cream with 300ml of fresh orange juice on a HOT day.

I would say in the premier league you can guarantee now nearly 8 teams who will not be relegated every season. The rest of us are fighting to become one of the other 12 even just for one year with the riches it brings. Unless you are backed by an billionaire we will never get close to the top 8.

We could look to go the moneyball route but the problem is that takes time to set up

 

I don't think we have any worries about being any part of the Premiership short term or long term, as you say with every passing season the top 8 or so get wealthier and wealthier and make it morw ans more difficult for the bottom 12 or so trt and compete.
Last night I read a Chinese club want Gareth Bale and are quite happy to pay him £1m per WEEK.

 

Wonder if Parky’s lot will have Conway, Otzumer, Wheater and Pringle in the line up?

 

there’s no way i’d be looking at playing a fixture against bolton either at their training ground or ours, simply for insurance purposes in case of injury.

 

I have no doubt that 'insurance' is already in place.
MY concern is more to do with WHAT City can achieve from such a game, other than some game time for the walking wounded ?

 

Maybe it's more of an out stretched arm to Phil Parkinson as I would think the request would have come via Julian Rhodes rather than accommodating Bolton, and or course it will be another competitive game for Boyer to take stock of players on show.

 

I think it will be mainly trialist at Bolton because Bowyer has promised a strong team at the Avenue

however, if we go to bolton and play the fixture there - is their training ground insured for any injuries that may occur on it’s premises. stay away is the best option - we don’t need another game.

 

Is it not the players that are insured?
