I’m inclined to say we have little chance but you just never know. He may feel he needs to get first team games. He’s 19 and hasn’t played in the football league. I expect we will pay similar wages. Norwich do have a great youth set up. It wouldn’t surprise me for him to go to Norwich then get loaned out

Quite so Storck. They were due to play PNE tomorrow but called off over the weekend after their game with Chester on Friday last was also off
Looks like Oldham playing Stockport now so Bolton have no game at all pre season unless things change which seems unlikely.

I'd love to add further ....... Yet a quick thought has advised me to resist, as folk don't want to read a 10,000 word precis from me on what has, and continues to ruin the 'peoples game'.

Possibly so Ronnie and if I were cynical I would think the top PL clubs can see it coming, hence all the talk last season of a European League.
The very top chasing even bigger money and stuff the rest and when the European league can't be funded because we have players going for £500 million we will move on to a world league.

 

Anyone know this maybe beingplayed. If it's Apperley Bridge i'd quite fancy going down.

I would say in the premier league you can guarantee now nearly 8 teams who will not be relegated every season. The rest of us are fighting to become one of the other 12 even just for one year with the riches it brings. Unless you are backed by an billionaire we will never get close to the top 8.

We could look to go the moneyball route but the problem is that takes time to set up

O’Neil (!), Oztumer, Lowe, Murphy, Politic, Magennis. Second half subs included Conway, Pringle and Zouma.
