    As i read it that's what happening.
    It says once the flag reaches the middle of the stand the cards will be held aloft to create the stripes as the players come out.
    Gonna be chaos in the bottom tier.

    I’m generally concerned that this will fry the brains to the point of spontaneous combustion for the two blokes that sit behind me in the bottom kop.

    This reminds me of when there was loads of balloons with tags on them, making them too heavy to float off, set up on the pitch before kickoff. Staff, players and possibly fans, having to come onto the pitch and stamp on them.

    I agree.
    The flag has to go from the NWC to the middle of the kop and stop there just in time as the players are entering the pitch and then when the players come out the cards go up.
    It will look good if it goes right but it will need some serious timing.
