I believe if we don't see something positive to grasp with regards next season your above highlighted will be seen in the lack of take up for next seasons ticket.
The majority were happy with the appointment of Uncle Derek because of an excellent CV at his previous three clubs, been there seen it done it. unfortunately it didn't work out, then along comes Mark Hughes what a capture the majority thought and once again a fantastic response by fans backing the club with regards what we had seen during the last 6/7 games of the 2021/22 season, unfortunately so far this season we have seen little to encourage Bradford City fans to renew next season.

I'll tell you what I would respect, is Sparks himself rocking up. A frank but respectful dialogue and engagement over the concerns people have.

I will renew but that is my personal choice, others may have a different view on renewing their season ticket, that is their choice. I am nearly 67 and not as physically active as I once was and the plans I had for my retirement are now more limited. That doesn't mean I am happy with the situation, far from it. When it comes to a fan's buyout or partial buyout I'm not sure how it would work. Certainly to make it a viable proposition we would need to enter an agreement with Stephan Rupp regarding it giving us a sizeable stake in the club, otherwise it would be relatively pointless (no pun intented).
Apparently the Swindon town owners and supporters jointly own the County Ground.

Correct, he/they would want more than it is worth for a starters. I can’t support any sort of fan buy outs while I respect the ideas for once I agree with Park that it’s pie in the sky, we struggled to raise 75k for a new scoreboard, another thing I was against as a private company should find it themselves and that includes a stadium buy out. Personally I don’t like what football has become in the modern day, rich business people’s toys and rich primadonners on the pitch. But we need on of those rich business people to want us as their toy as that’s our only out from this absolute disaster of an ownership. My thoughts are the best way is to highlight the clubs plight and fans worries as other clubs have done in recent years, hopefully the meeting tomorrow will throw something more realistic and practical up.

 

Although I would never criticise anyone for trying to come up with a solution, as some on here have done, I honestly don't see any of the ideas coming even close to working. It's just another sign of fans of the club being at rock bottom, we are in a truly desperate situation.

 

If they have sense at this meeting they will ask someone with a bit of standing or with connections to the club who is independent. And then arrange as a first step either a face to face or a zoom meeting with Rupp. The idea is to put the club officially on the market which will concentrate minds and then any new prospective owners along with previous interested parties can enter negotiations. If nothing happens from that because of what he is asking then further pressure could be applied. Or he could sell if the controlling interest and still hold a percentage to get a return later.

 

Agreed, it seems like that is the only realistic option we currently have. Although I'm not convinced he would entertain any such meeting, especially as we are on an awful run, it'll probably make him wary of getting an earful and make him stay well away. I have a horrible feeling we are in for a long old slog

 

Good post and basically sums up my situation I'll be renewing I cant say I've enjoyed a lot of what I've seen since the Parkinson days and we could be here all night with regards the so called style he played, I believe its going to take something monumental to turn our club around and I don't mind who'd do it Rupp and Sparks or AN Other I don't care, until my grandson tells me he no longer wants to attend Bradford City game I'll continue attending be that at home or away, being honest I'm not too sure I could stop attending games at Valley Parade even if he did walk away (which I very much doubt he would), I have a brother who had a 2/3 season start on me and very rarely does he miss a home game so I'll always have a friendly face in the crowd.
I do believe in many cases it is an age thing and we're probably not as vocal as our younger end, that doesn't mean I would not give my support to something I believe might change the status quo at my/our club.

And who could blame him a vey good earner for his pension fund, realistically why would he sell Valley Parade and try and get a similar deal or better (given the legislation after the Maxwell fiasco) when he doesn't need to do anything bar sit back and know regular finance is coming in.

Never though about that I wonder if he was invited to put the clubs point of view across, as you say it would take some guts, even I'm not sure what I'm letting myself in for now I've been made aware its being streamed I could pass.

 

I wonder it they are those 4 Americans I spoke to before the Wrexham home game, could they be Secret Millionaires .
