Surely as a fan base doing nothing and accepting whats happening to the club is worse?

Was Emmeline Pankhurst's boycott of the census to protest women not being allowed to vote 'negative'?

Progress doesn't come to those who don't bother trying, Park.

I know! Do we get guarantees from incoming that they can definitely keep us up? If so I would like to know how given we can’t do anything about the quality of players we have? We keep bringing in managers who promise the earth only to find out to our costs, they can do bugger all!

@bantamdave41@bantamdave41 and some fell on stone ground mate, you alway get fans who have little or no respect for others opinions, fans getting pilloried as above because they chose not to stay away

Clueless comment?Look at what they had to go through for a fair few years and it was the courts that did for the Oystons not the fans. Some of our fans are impatient to say the least and don't give a manager the time to improve this club and want them out ,so do you expect those same fans to be able to boycott our games for a few seasons like they did at Blackpool because I can't see it happening here .

No clubs give the number of people who attended as the attendance, everyone gives the number of tickets sold regardless of if they turn up. It's standard practice in football

I'll be at the Swindon match. I have my ticket, hotel and local restaurants booked and visits to friends and relatives arranged.
We will also be down for the significant final match of the season which shouldn't be boycotted for obvious reasons.

No one from the club has confirmed it, not that they would. I have no doubt its true though.

You said "surely a boycott is negative", so I asked if you if Pankhurst's boycott of the census was negative?

Surely it was, since surely a boycott is negative?

Of all the protests, boycotts etc talked about this is the one idea that appeals to me and most likely to get my contribution. But, as with all the rest, I am genuinely worried where it all might lead.

"When you've suffered for something, when you've been deprived of something and you've fought for it and won, that gives you so much pride," Blackpool Supporters Trust chairwoman Christine Seddon told BBC Sport."

Yes the courts were the ones that removed the family from Ownership but the work of the Supporters Trust was incredible.

The fans basically stayed away for 4 years which I agree is a hell of a long time but it worked! The fans got their way. The buycott of the club raised the profile of the issues there 10 fold! They had opposition fans singing in their support.

Its not a quick process but for people to sit on here and say what’s the point blah blah blah is lazy. Action won’t take a week or two, it takes a sustained joint effort! We have seen it at Charlton, Blackpool, Coventry, Port Vale and Notts County from the top of my head that fan power DOES work.

I agree, but we as fans can’t dictate what happens next. I am not kidding myself it has been plain to see his lack of interest in our club. I am not supporting him, but I am conscious of what there is out there. Most ppl know the club is for sale for the right price. The price is probably too high. Like you the only way to convince him is to hit his pocket. I personally have always had a ST, I won’t be purchasing one for next season unless I see signs of change. I haven’t been to VP since before Christmas and I have no intention of going.
I don’t even understand Rupp, if he is not making any money, why is he hanging onto the club? Yes I can understand he wants back what he has put in, but potentially he will lose the lot if we drop into the conference, which as you say is likely if our budget will be less. He doesn’t come across as a gambling man to me. The only course of action to get back his money is to invest more, or sell the club at a lower price. For me those are the only two options, he allows our club to descend into the conference, or he sells.
I doubt he will listen to protests, but that is no reason not to have one. A protest of not buying ST’s will in my view will harm the club, but this death by a thousand cuts is worse!

You're not going to buy a season ticket, but you're against people 'protesting' by not buying season tickets?

    I'm sorry, what?

No repercussions on them who attend they asked those attending were always going to get the old Judas comment , let those who think they can call out none attenders get on with it, I make my own calls in life not some jumped up poster on a football forum.

Hate to be the one to say it, but a boycott is going to be a struggle.

The situation is definitely good enough for a lot of City fans.

Rupp's ownership is good enough, and he shouldn't be pushed out.

Pretty surprised, but City fans are happy with this, we're just unlucky because we appointed a bad manager last time out. The new guy needs to come in and fix it, problem solved.

    Genuinely what I'm hearing :joy:

Ryan Sparks literally said a month or so ago that without some kind of go fund me by the fans that the club couldn’t afford hand dryers in the toilets. But yea. Everything is fine.
