It's easy to blame the players but in truth there isn't one player at the club that doesn't go on that pitch wanting to win every game possible. Our problems stem from an organisation that has failed over the last five years consistently to give those players the best chance of being successful. This idea of players turning up giving 100% and that will make everything alright is a wonderful notion but is ultimately laughable. This club has no leadership to pass down eventually to the footsoldiers going out on the pitch. It's why manager and manager and player aftet player come and go with being able to stop the decline.
Until Rupp either decides the clubs success has an importance to him or preferably he buggers off then this club is going nowhere.

The laziest argument is that 'nobody wants to buy us'.

    We're a solvent club.

    We are sustainably run.

We aren't costing Rupp anything according to Sparks.

We don't need a rich sugar daddy, just someone interested.

The ONLY thing that is in the way is Rupp's ridiculous asking price.

Remove that, and we can have our club back.

I’m not even sure I’m that bothered about the invest bit. The budget is there if it’s not wasted on 30 something never beens. Think back, how many people said Guthrie, DMH, Robinson, Lavery, Kelleher were all wastes of a wage before a ball was kicked. The gomperati fire back with ‘it’s no wonder nobody wants to play for Bradford City if we write them off before a ball is kicked” nonsense. I can see they’re shit and will have zero sell on value, everybody can, but people like you stick up for the club. They’re pissing your season ticket money away year after year on utter dog shite, paying off the latest manager and serving it back to you with some mealy mouthed management buzzwords.

I’d just like someone who looks like he gives a shit. Andy Holt at Accrington for example, doesn’t spend big, sells players on for a profit, building them a training ground, developing the stadium sensibly. That’s all. It’s not much to ask. Really it’s not is it?

Rupp can piss off, I’m not asking him in the words of Dewhirst to spend his kids inheritance, I just want him to look after something that means a lot to a lot of people. It’s not just a business to us.

He’s given me the right hump.

This is absolute rubbish and as a "customer" you are basically saying that you are ok with wasting your money and the product you are getting simply because you don’t think it will work! The BIG problem with our fan base is EMPATHY and you have shown it in abundance.

You do realise that the Oystons were removed because of so much hard work by the fans there!!! They did an incredible job and they their fans actually helped other fans lead revolts against dodgy owners! See Norman Smurthwaite at Port Vale - and now look how Port Vale are being ran after he left! They have a club to be proud of!

Did you not see what happened roughly an hour after the announcement of the European Super league? Chelsea fans blocked the team bus from entering the ground! Man Utd fans stormed Old Trafford and got their game postponed! What happened? The idea folded quicker a game of football!

Its an insult to say we cant take action! This is our club! Stefan Rupp is a custodian and nothing more! If you don’t wish to protest then that is absolutely your choice but don’t say protests don’t work! They 100% do!

Ryan Sparks literally said a month or so ago that without some kind of go fund me by the fans that the club couldn’t afford hand dryers in the toilets. But yea. Everything is fine.

I also feel we have to respect the views of fellow posters on this site and beyond. Some will be strongly against an idea like this, have counter arguments, etc.

No matter, the fans themselves (irrespective of view) ain't the real issue at this club.

At best Stefan isn’t putting money in, at worse one of his companies is allegedly taking money out. I’m not sure how his bank balance helps.

Mid table league 2 this season and we will fall further when the other teams catch up.

With an inevitably reduced budget next season there’s the possibility of a relegation fight.

How can we end up worse than that? Nobody is coming to asset strip and close the club like Bury because there are no assets to sell, and even if the club owned the stadium it’s in a poor part of one of the country’s poorest cities.

Rupp might have kept the lights on after his mate Rahic shafted the club over, but don’t go kidding yourself there is this altruistic white knight in Bavaria. Rupp’s sole interest is in not losing a euro more than he already has. The threat of low season ticket sales next season will get him thinking. Lose 5,000 STs and the budget is down by say half to two thirds of a million before we need to recruit better more expensive players.

That will hurt Stefan more than any boycott, flags, banners, fly overs and name calling.

He can, yes, and he will do for the foreseeable future.

The fans clearly don't have an appetite for change, so it is what it is.

He asks £10 million, nobody in the world is going to pay that, so here we are.

    No board.
    No DOF.
    No expertise.

Just Rupp and Sparks playing train sets.

Yes let's protest to get Rupp out because there's a big sugar daddy waiting in the wings to buy him out ,not. Some fans need to be careful for what they wish for because for every Abromavich there's 20 Oystens out there.

Have you seen what Blackpool have done after the hard work from the fans to get the Oystons out?? They are now a mid table championship side…… Clueless comment.

Spot on. The fact we are actually sustainable makes it easy for Rupp to not give a shit and sit behind his asking price. No doubt he's taking a salary, or Directors bonus, so its nice and tidy for him.

Make it unsustainable, put his asset under real threat of disappearing. Its that serious. Force him to sell.

Jesus wept do you actually believe that he's investing in this club??? We're self sustaining to enable him not to put money in, that's the whole fecking point.

We had an offer to buy the club, and by all accounts it wasn't even the first offer he's knocked back. You can't tell me WAGMI would have overseen anything worse than this.

    Exactly !!
We have fans that would deny anything is wrong after losing 4-0 to Farsley Celtic whilst groundsharing with BPA at Horsfall
Maybe it gives them a warm feeling of being an ultra fan I have no idea
Action in whatever form has to be taken to avoid the above scenario Mr Rupp ain't daft as soon as he sees his investment falling further he will be off like a shot rather than invest and provide funds for football personnel
The only way to expedite this is to not spend anything in the ground/club shop etc he has had our season ticket money for this season don't give him it again for next season as soon as he realises his investment is virtually worthless and he has to put money in to prop it up I guarantee he will be off
Pointless appointing a new manager till he's gone guaranteed failure within 6 months and another dent in our reputation
Doing nothing isn't an option for any genuine fan

Having not been to a game since November, I am looking forward to going to a match. I have paid my money, there have been two substantial changes in the sacking of Adams and the appointment of Hughes. Time to have an open mind.
