I wonder what could possibly have deterred interested parties that early in the process eh?

That's just fantasy Park, its not remotely how professional, multi million pound business is done. These interested parties will have other business interests and a professional reputation to protect. What do you think it would do to their credibility if they were to come out publicly and start slinging mud? It'd be potentially very damaging in terms of who'd be willing to enter into future business with them.

Whats much more likely is that they'd likely leak something to the press to stir the pot anonymously, with the hope of public pressure driving a more reasonable stance. That was almost certainly what happened here, but for all the bullshit spouted about our 'toxic fanbase', did anything happen? Did it balls. Because far too many of our fans are like battered spouses, who keep coming back for more and swallowing false promises of change and best intentions, then being blamed when the next blow lands.

I wouldn't expect you to. It's not in your nature to want to drive change.

No worries, enjoy the game and I hope you get rid of that covid soon, mate.

Listen, we don't need to convince everyone to boycott. I'm thinking we rebrand as a walk away protest. Arrive at the ground, stand outside until three, then off to North Parade.

    Thoughts? @king karl@king karl

    Agreed.

I wouldn't even bother with the boycott myself if the club started taking progression seriously.

A Director of Football to work with Ryan.
The club publicly put up for sale at a reasonable price.
A new manager to commence a longer-term vision.

Looks like North Parade it is, then, because that's not happening under this Ding Dong.

Exactly, can you imagine unveiling a new manager before the game and there are boycotts in force or toxic atmosphere in the ground.

    I couldn't support such a boycott.

No repercussions on them who attend they asked those attending were always going to get the old Judas comment , let those who think they can call out none attenders get on with it, I make my own calls in life not some jumped up poster on a football forum.

Hate to be the one to say it, but a boycott is going to be a struggle.

The situation is definitely good enough for a lot of City fans.

Rupp's ownership is good enough, and he shouldn't be pushed out.

Pretty surprised, but City fans are happy with this, we're just unlucky because we appointed a bad manager last time out. The new guy needs to come in and fix it, problem solved.

    Genuinely what I'm hearing :joy:

Unfortunatly he can ask what he wants Jon, and if that figure of £10 mill is true its a fantasy figure plucked out of the fresh air, at this present moment in time it is totally unjustifiable, as you say where we were when he bought us and where we are now your £3 mill is far more realistic.

Maybe before the Swindon game those who feel so strongly about the present situation should take banners in protest on Saturday against Mansfield to make their concerns known, I would think any photographers in the ground would send said pictures to the press and the ball is in motion.
I'm far from happy with the present situation in no way am I trying to put down those who want to protest, maybe start with banners and build up the protest from there.

I'd certainly agree as a fan Rupp doesn't seem to care enough, his last public statement was to tell us all he is a "proud custodian" of Bradford City sorry Stefan talk is cheap.

Absolutely pointless exercise. Far better to get as many in the ground as possible with a very vocal anti rupp protest all match.

It seems rather unreasonable to be so critical of an owner and his money unless you are to invest yourself. We are all close to despair but let's keep a semblance of rationality. Last night against Harrogate Truman sent out a team with more aggressive ideas. It was much better to watch. they did not play bad at all. This was its first try out. It was not going to be an overnight wonder but it is a start. Let's have a tiny bit of patience and see where this goes.

The vision is promotion, the investment is a decent enough budget. The bigger issue is a series of managers who were badly picked and spunked away the budget on crap. Give the FGR manager our budget, give Flynn our budget, give Micky Mellon our budget and they would all have us top six at least.

Adams wasted money on signing over the hill, injury prone players that haven't got the fight anymore.

There were plenty on here who wanted Adams sacked but thought Sparks would keep him until the end of the season. He did n’t. He acted because he knew it was n’t working. I don’t know Sparks personally, but despite what people say on here, Sparks is n’t stupid. Naive and inexperienced, yes. Some of his statements have been cringeworthy. He knows better than us that it’s not worked and is not working. I hated Adams but I thought it was a good appointment. Despite what we’re saying on here, if Sparks knows, then Rupp knows. Accurate attendance numbers will be ringing alarm bells in the club. As will commercial partners. Sparks has to now prove he is capable. It’s likely to be his last chance. We need him to appoint a manager and or a DoF or whatever is needed. Rupp has to agree or see his investment sink further. It really is all on them.

Frustration and emotion to one side, I don’t believe a boycott will tell them anything that is n’t clearly obvious now. I’m waiting to see and here the solution to the crap we are in and how we go forward. Without change and ambition, they can count me as lost and I’ve been a constant since the mid 70’s.
The lack of hope, enjoyment and entertainment is finally wearing me down.

Just enjoy the day m8. Remember where you were when you heard that Mark Hughes OBE was unveiled as Bradford City manager.

Peterborough are away at the Dogs on the Friday night, we should all rock up in the away end, in full BCFC colours, show MacAnthony what he’s missing!
And probably for the first time all season actually witness a decent football match.
