Its the Bradford City mentality mate, any mention of spending money and they think admin 3 is around the corner.

It should be the only option. Why let him go for a relative pittance?

I didn't hear many dissenting voices when we let him go to Swindon to allow part savings on his wages go to strengthening other area's where we were poor.

Not sure bringing him back is the only or best option, but that's only my opinion, maybe leaving him at Swindon (and them paying more for the privilege) might not be a bad thing, he's scoring goals that may help in Swindon beating other promotion rivals that cant be a bad thing, and he would not be allowed to play against us in the away game at Swindon.

Im happy either way tbh but even with the 3 we have we still look a striker light so the question could be whether the money we save on Doyle starting at Swindon is enough to bring in someone else we feel can contribute in the same way Doyle might.

Agree, that was always the case Oteh joined us on 2nd September 2018, even though Doyle had left on 16 August 2019 we can only assume the deal with QPR was already a done deal.
We never had IMO adequate cover for Donaldson & Vaughan, only Oteh, Patrick and at a shove McCartan, I'm not against bringing Doyle back but I do think the club should look at other options that have been covered many times in this debate.
If we did bring him back imagine the pressure the lad would be under, and if he did not continue to score at anywhere near the rate he is dong at Swindon it wont take long for the scapegoat crew start questioning the clubs decision

I would like to see similar events were you let a player go and he scores a hatful whilst your paying part of is wages, and you lose your two strikers and the team is in the same division....... Not saying bring him back but Swindon need to pay in full. He needed to move on but it looks likes is mojo is back so we should at least benefit a bit.

You expect...well thats not good enough. Sounds like wishful thinking.

Swindon are a rival whichever way you try to add your spin.

Doyle would add another option up top. Weakens Swindon, strengthens us.

Not because you said so. No, not a chance.

Its a thread open for debate about Doyle. If you don't like it, then you probably shouldn't open it.

I would think as a contracted player to Bradford City he'd have no option if we wanted to recall him.
As I posted I watched the Salford/Swindon game yesterday and he performed as you would expect from a striker who was bang in form, he looked to be enjoying playing for Swindon and although he will have to do as he's told that doesn't mean he has to like it.
If recalled and he does not continue his goal scoring feats at Valley Parade how long will it take to make him the scapegoat, big decision for the club lets hope the situation has been discussed, I would think it possibly has as he was not allowed to play for Swindon in the FA Cup game against Cheltenham.

Fair enough, but do we want the risk of having player who don’t want to be part of our future? Bit extreme, but look at how that turned out last year.

Please note I’m not suggesting Doyle doesn’t want to be here or would be disruptive he came back, but on the other hand he could.

Thought the same when I watched the highlights. Perhaps a assumptive but when celebrating his demeanour was of someone happy to be contributing to his team not just for himself - especially the last goal when he celebrated on the back of his team mate.

We probably have 4/5 who want out and we need rid of before him.

Bowyer likes Doyle. Praised him in pre season. No reputation as a trouble causer.

Of course to a degree its guess work that either or bothDoyle and Swidon struggle on heavy grounds are you categorically telling me they won't no one can predict what is so far a poor league
I would welcome back Doyle in his current goal scoring form providing GB uncharacteristically changes the team and plays to what some consider his strengths if not my feelings are he is more useful to us scoring and taking points off other automatic contenders am unconcerned whether Swindon finish second to us or mid table mediocrity with or without Eoin Doyle

Agree. Unfortunately l have known people who just show up at work, they clearly didn’t want to be there and did the minimum necessary to avoid disciplinary action. Now Doyle could return and do the same. He may not put that ‘extra’ bit in, which elevates him from being a relatively passive player, to a goal getting striker. He has to want to be here, if he is going to perform at a premium level.

Agreed but you could say the same of any player and if you have that mentality you'd never sign anyone, just in case.
