I think we will have to stop thinking about strengthening the midfield. To be fair to the club and Bowyer we've done. Cooke, Palmer, Devett have all come in. Akpan has got better.

We made the decision in the summer to offer Devine and Anderson new contracts which in my mind only 1 should of been offered, so we can't keep going on about the midfield.

You talk about a player having to be on the bench. TOUGH! We've a player on the bench now that many thought we should sign, player of the season and should be captain. Look at AOC performances now he knows he has a top player waiting to come in if he messes up!

Competition in sport is very helpful. I am a big believer that you should have 4 forwards and 4 CB's pushing for spots no matter the formation you want to player.

Doyle is the leading forward in the league.. serious condition has to thought into getting him back and I don't care how he feels about it!

If Bowyer can't manage top players or vast amounts of quality then this club will have a problem going forward!

 

Bowyer has recruited well in midfield. Problem we have is that Cooke, Devitt, Palmer and Connolly are all on loan, and as with the Doyle scenario in reverse, all four could be recalled in January. Unlikely perhaps, but that doubt remains

 

With various points considered .......... And all play a part - Let's just see how it pans out, in the watchful eyes of BCFC. It's one of those situations (as is) whereby there is no right or wrong answer to all this. As Fans, all we can do is stand and watch, yet support any decision being made.
Doyle is doing great at Swindon, as they play. Yet how many Clubs have tried to replicate and failed at generating such performances, post transfer (or return from loan) ? Too many!!
With our current standing - I think we should all be thankful that we (City) are currently second, with all our injuries considered. Hard times are still yet to follow, I suspect - But let's face them, not fear them.

I was watching a video earlier uploaded to YouTube by the posh chairman and somebody had asked the question about cooke signing permanently and he said that Barry Fry had spoken to us and told us that there will be interest from other clubs in January and that they have a recall clause so we would need to stump up the money and do it.

So hopefully stefan is well aware of this and we get a move on before other clubs start circling.

Swindon Advertiser is suggesting Doyle may be one their loan players not allowed to play in tomorrow's FA Cup. Wellens is not commenting.

To bring him back, play him out of position and fans be up in arms that he’s gone Pete Tong again?

Vaughan is fast becoming Doyle MKII because of the way we set up - but the way we set up is currently working.

Demand Swindon must pay his wages in full or we sell him in Jan. I can’t see him playing in a City shirt again - as much as I’d like him to.
