He scored nearly half his goals from the penalty spot.

If he'd have scored say 20 goals, done very little else other than score then he could get away with it like other strikers do but he didn't.

How are Swindon performing worse than us?. They are above us on goal difference, courtesy of a player we are paying wages to. Imagine that scenario at the end of season if Swindon pip us for promotion on goal difference

An inch out. Yet you just outright lies and chose to pretend he wasnt laughed at multiple times.

    Glass houses, mate.

Game in hand. We beat them. They haven't beaten a single team in the top half.

I could tell you Man It's were doing better than Liverpool if Man Utd were allowed to play enough extra games.

Just divide their points rally by games played. Easy really.

5' 10 on wikipedia, that's 3 inch out. Either way though you exaggerated the point, as you mainly do.

It's 1 extra game, not multiple. Another exaggeration?

Are they within 3 points of Liverpool in the table? No

Can you only earn 3 points for a win? No

Logic would suggest then that it would take multiple games to be above Liverpool in the table.

You also used the plural for game, suggesting it's more than one. As you said though, perhaps I'm missing some logic.

Exaggerating how much I exaggerate... But unaware of the juxtaposition.

It's easy, really. To outline bad logic, you use a more extreme case study. Very standard.

And grammatically speaking, you simply chose to misread my post.

Mate I will say this again. Edin had a massive effect on the club which effected the players as well as the staff but Edin isn't just to blame for our failings of last season. The whole club needs to take responsibility.

However, when you now look at Vaughan you have to wonder in Bowyer can get the best out of the like of Vaughan and Doyle.

Doyle game isn't about winning headers, linking up play in midfield etc... Doyle's best work is in the box.

Look at AOC looks a different player now.. move on from last season and understand that the likes of AOC, Doyle, Wright, Akpan etc are all better than what they showed last season but Bradford City was an utter mess that I can't blame them not for under performing as they did.

I agree you have to question whether Bowyer is the man to get Vaughan or Doyle scoring - and so far, I'd say he definitely is NOT the man to get those striker scoring 20 a season. That may change, but right now Bowyer looks like a manager focused on a total team performance and making sure we get results through hard graft.

Does that mean it's the wrong way to do things?

    Not if we get promoted.

After reading his interview earlier, it sounds like Doyle wouldn't be a happy bunny whatsoever if we were to recall him in January. And if we did, I think he'd simply down tools and sulk. From yesterday's article in the Swindon Advertiser:

Doyle said: “I am here for the season as far as I am concerned – and hopefully I will be here for the season. This is where I want to be. I am enjoying it.” Swindon boss Richie Wellens said: “I am not sure what the situation is at Bradford. I wouldn’t say it is their loss as where are Bradford in the league at the moment? When they let him go, what did we see in the next three or four days? They signed three or four players. The money they received from us allowed them to go out and get probably two of the best midfield players in our league. We had this after seven or eight games when people said we were going to win the league but what will be happening in January? Let’s just be good until January and then we will deal with that then.”

Doyle, who is out of contract in the summer, played the opening three games for City before joining Swindon. Under FA rules, players can only appear for two clubs in the same season.

Didn't McCartan make similar statements last year?

Although having said that, he hardly seems to have impressed Bowyer, so maybe both those players don't wish to be at Bradford...

I agree, although it's been months since James Hanson scored so at least it seems to have gone quiet, for now.

Problem then is what if Swindon say no then we get stuck with a player on a big wage that doesn't want to be here and they might be able to bring in 2 players to replace his goals.

As someone posted could you imagine how the Swindon fans would react to sending Doyle back.
Easy for us fans to quote what should happen, as a Swindon fan who's team have had a free scoring striker at their club it would give them an idea how serious they were as a club in getting promotion if we changed the terms of his loan.
We could allow Doyle to leave on a free then Swindon could renegotiate with Doyle maybe a longer deal that will give him and his family security for 2 years at a lower salary, there are many things that can happen maybe Bradford City don't want him back and are quite happy with the present deal ?.

Perhaps ........ Nothing is paved in Gold.
THAT would be one helluva gamble. WHAT took Swindon (and City) in to Lge 2 in the first place ?
If I were Lee Power, I'd bank what I already have, rather than trade it in for a 'perhaps'.
Life is full of iff's and buts - Yet only the proven survive, and pave the way for a positive destiny.

As I posted a few posts earlier (Yesterday ?) .... A few Poker faces will be on show, come January, IMO.
The winner may take little, yet the loser could lose it all ! :)
