Not in a million years - not good enough. Vaughan had a couple of decent Championship years and then one good League One year without injuries. That's it.

Plenty have struggled with injuries and had Premier League careers. Owen, Wilshire, Carroll, Welbeck, King, Woodgate to name a few. Its a poor excuse. He simply isn't good enough for top flight football.

The answer to that is before the first of his career threatening injuries he had 47 appearances for Everton scoring 7 goals

 

Also agree and if Swindon did come back with a decent offer, it will boil down to whether the club feel confident we can get promoted without Doyle or if they feel he is integral to us doing that. If the former, it's a no brainer from me, take the money and be gone with him.

 

be utter stupidity to sell him from here. Unless we get a silly offer (1m or something) a permanent departure isn't worth entertaining. The form he is in he is worth 500-750k to us and we try and get promotion over the line. I can't wait until the transfer window shuts just to be done with the speculation. 180 pages now. Agree, would be absolute madness to offer Doyle a new deal, especially as he would be demanding an increase on an already high wage. He has a reputation for a good season followed by a bad one, only City could pay over the odds for his bad one, loan him out for his good one and then take him back on improved terms for his next bad one!
