But the same folk were sneering at Norwood, Taylor, Eaves when linked...clueless.

 

Can you point any game out from last season and this where Doyle did something that made you think yeah Eoin had a good game today? I've said it before but even the basics he didn't do, passing etc...

 

We were a poor outfit last year and the players around him were shite, tactics didn't suit as a lone striker. Despite that double figures wasn't too shoddy, he will score if the service is there.

We have dropped down a level. This was a chance to shine. He is.

 

Rather have JV and Donaldson, for me Doyle is too much of a passenger but it's all opinions.

 

Imagine having Vaughan upfront, and Donaldson, and wanting Doyle back.

Hes not going to magically start scoring for us. We are still the same team.

He was lazy for us. Thats what people didnt like.
Didnt compete, didnt work hard.

 

Imagine having Vaughan and Donaldson injured and Shay and Omari to come in.

I want all three. Its a long season. A squad is needed.

He wasnt lazy at all. Why would he be lazy for us then put it in for Swindon?! They're playing to his strengths. We didnt do that at all and look what hes doing there! Theres loads of us that could see it, a class act at this level. Oh dear Mr Bowyer? Will you live to regret this?

 

Players suit certain teams and certain formations. That’s why players get transferred too and from teams. Sanchez great at Arsenal rubbish at Man Utd. With his wage, we and others rated the other two higher. Is that tricky to understand? we had bigger weaknesses elsewhere. Do you understand the concept of financial fair play You don’t have a reserve on that wage when we have no midfield. Scoring goals at Swindon does not mean he would have done at Bradford. Plus it’s a long season. Let’s wait and see if it’s a purple patch. Right that’s my rant over

 

Probably his performances in a City shirt, just a clue.

 

Why is he a reserve? He was in the match day squads, a first teamer.

Its a long season. Injuries, suspensions, form to consider. People ignore this fact

He was crow barred into the team. Financial fair play. We could not sign another player until we reduced our wages. A team came in wanting him. You have to make a call at the time. Hindsight is a wonderful thing but not a pleasant trait to use as an argument after the event.

 

The claim was that he needed a big player to play off, Jerry Yates isn't that player.

 

Clearly the wrong call.

We have nothing on the bench up top and we have a plethora of bang average midfielders. Too many in fact.

 

Hope Mr Rhodes ensured we get a bonus payment for every goal Doyle scores for Swindon.....

Who cares about Doyle, the division's top scorer is Hanson, who has scored 5 and got another 2 assists.

7 goals contributed to puts him miles ahead of anyone else in the division.

 

Didn't want to play for us apparently, Collins, Hopkin and Bowyer couldn't get a tune out the lad (having said that he still finished up our leading scorer) goes elswhere and scores for fun, so frustrating .

 

Maybe he has got that belief in him now, its that simple! Probably thoroughly demoralised here after last season.
