Time to play hardball. How much is promotion worth to Swindon? At what selling price do Swindon pull out? It would be a brave chairman that looks at it and says, Bradford can keep him, we're not paying 100K for a player in the last 6 months of his contract. In fact (if a deal hasn't already been struck, and I think one has), we should up the price at least another 50K. If they say no, we get back the most prolific striker in the league, Swindon have their promotion charge weakened. Go on, do it, you know it makes sense. Tell 'em Fordy.

What reports are these? I read about City several times a day and haven’t seen this.

 

We didn’t have a pot to piss in (if that is true at all) until City launched the new season tickets for next season.

There’s probably a good reason why we are shifting income for next season into this year’s budget before January.

It isn’t typical practice for City to announce ST prices this early.

 

Simon Parker alludes to the fact in the T&A THAT we can afford to keep Doyle and pay all his wages...you may be right about the shifting of income years!!

 

If we do anything other than slap a hefty transfer fee on his head and let him go to Swindon I'll be very disappointed. How much did we pay for him when he was at Preston and not playing? No point in bringing him back to play for us but it's a cut throat business so either Swindon pay up or they don't and lose the player for me. If it were role reversal you know Swindon would be trying to have our pants down and the fans would be in uproar if we didn't sign him.

 

Season tickets have been on sale a few times in the past before Christmas, bought them for presents.
