Woeful Tory party?. Sorry to break this to you, but they have just had their best result for 32 years!. They will now go from strength to strength under Boris.

One thing I do agree with you though, Labour desperately need a credible leader to start to rebuild confidence with their deflated voters. Somebody who sways more to the centre like Blair.

Labour party missed a trick in appointing the wrong Miliband brother as leader

 

Our good Lib Dem MP was re- elected with an increased majority.
Boris needs to come up with a positive plan for Scotland because the silent majority does not want another few years of independence debate. It would overshadow the fact that the SNP are failing to do their day job.

I believe it was real Jon, posted by MP Meg Hiller originally and ran in several nationals most likely someone brought her another pair.

It was more a symbolic point anyway, we both know her shoes didn’t define the election result. The point is more it’s a terrible Tory government often derided, but still won at a landslide, tells you everything you need to know about the opposition. I’ll happily back Labour again at the next election if there’s a clear out at the top, we need a strong opposition party, it’s likely to be a long 5 years.

With the majority Boris has got for the Tory party they could be in power for two terms similar to the Blair landslde.

It will certainly take something drastic to change it.

 

This has similar overtures to Trump in America. Lambasted by celebrities but looking quite likely he will get voted in again and theres a good chance Johnson will go the same way. Turns out the name calling and vitriol is worth jack schit when next to an x on a ballot paper. I wonder how long they will stamp their feet and name call this time before they realise nobody gives a schit. 5 years is a long time to stamp your feet for no reward.

Democracy is the big winner, The Politicians ask the nation a question promising to enact the result, The Politicians of some parties then do everything they can to block that result being enacted, The public then remove those politicians that blocked enacting that democratic vote, DEMOCRACY IN ACTION,

Good speech by Boris this morning understanding votes were lent by some Labour voters and thanking them and promising not to let the down,
As Boris said this morning "Lets get Brexit done!" and then "Lets get Breakfast done!"

 

That was a great comment near the end of his speech, about Labour hands quivering over the Tory candidate, and accepting it might only be a borrowed vote.
He now holds all the aces, lets see if he can deliver not only on Brexit but the injustice of the North/South divide.

 

The Scottish Numpty Party followers are complaining that Boris didn't mention Scotland in his victory speech.

 

She was like a deluded version of the "Wicked Witch From The West when the Jo Swinson result was announced, pathetic woman.

 

The SNP will be out of the EU before they have any kind of referendum anyhow, and with current rules they will be nowhere near meeting the requirements to re-join.
