I didn't know that because I tend not to keep an eye on friendlies, but that score did make me check the teams and they're pretty different.

Ki-Jana Hoever will be a good player, he's playing, John Ruddy is in net this time, they're put Ryan Bennett at the back, and besides, they've got a lad from Bayern Munich II in Meritan Shabani.

Anyone who knows football knows Bayern Munich II players are class and a cut above even in the Premier League.

Decent summary, agree with you, we look most likley to concede down our left, hopefully it will be sorted by Stuart at h/t and longridge will learn something from the experience

 

Be hard to think Donny won't get at least a draw against Wolves. I suppose if Donny beat Oldham in normal time that could mean us having to beat Oldham to go through which wouldn't be a bad starting point.

 

This sounds like a repeat of the Donny game. No real hint of a goal from either side and heading for penalties?

 

Longbridge going forward isn't doing badly at all. It's his positioning when back that's been suspect. Agree about Donaldson. He's rarely in the box when needed.

 

Mottley Henry is definitely one of those kids that has blinkered a few coaches.

You always get those players that get game time because they're 'assumed' to be quick or to present a threat, but never show that pace or danger.

It was pretty remarkable he was signed by the Barnsley Development Squad when we released him, but when you take into context development squads are fleshed out with players that aren't going to make it in the football league (by necessity, rather than design), it's even more astonishing that we took him back assuming he'd challenge for a first team place. What are we thinking? That some friendlies in the ressies of a League One side will have transformed him into a threat?

I was just thinking similar. I have no idea how we're going to score unless it's some random shot or from a free kick or corner but there haven't even been many of them.

 

Did Donaldson forget to come out after half time.
