They’ve both been here to make money since the day they walked into the building. That’s never changed. There aren’t many club owners who aren’t there to make money. Your man at Town, the bloke at Bristol City, Andy Holt at Accy spring to mind as fans with money who want their clubs to do well without losing too much money and there are more like that especially lower down the leagues. The majority of the Championship and the PL is about making money.

 

Yes, I acknowledge that Mike. But in the past we seem to have had owners who appeared to genuinely care about the club and its fans, Herr Rupp certainly doesn't give that impression

 

I’m not itk, but I suspect Rahic’s gone back to Germany to iron things out with Rupp (who probably isn’t happy). I imagine we will hear soon, whatever the outcome.

I sincerley hope this rumour re Edin has legs and he will not be returning to VP. My concern is if this proves to be false and he does return, the toxic atmosphere around VP will increase significantly and may impact further on our ability to get out of our current league position.

 

You do realise he will still own 20% of the club?

It's not about him not returning. It's about him not running or having any say in the club.

He needs to sell up. Out means fully out!

Rupp doesn't attend many games.

So basically we will have two owners that are not attending. We need both to sell up and leave.

I suspect Edin’s holiday is not permanent, but he’ll be well aware that his presence is not helping matters.

For my money, he’s just taking an extended break to take himself away from the forefront for a while.

 

Hope his kids have got permission to miss school otherwise he will be hit with a fine

Went in to see James Lockwood who wasn't happy about taking his boys out for 3 weeks.
I can't see the rumour being true as he has a home over here and both he and his wife work for the club, I would think earning a good salary, and of course his two boys going to a fee paying school, time will tell.

 

He won't get fined.

 

Rumour has it Wickes being an EFL sponsor, gave us a 3k prepaid voucher to improve facilities for the ladies and youth team and Edin spent it on his house instead.

 

He could be in Germany on his own, or taken his family back and kids into school over there...... who knows?
