I remember a few years back someone proposing to buy City and Bulls and merge them into a multi sport super club.
Just look at the amount of chancers that have been involved with the Bulls over the years. Most just turn out to be crooks.

Yes a very funny period for sure, no that was the past, one of the guys was very much involved with the club, but until they want to sell not much point in perusing it, but I do think if they wanted to sell there would be interested parties.

 

Aspirations are no good without the financial clout.as we have found out in recent years

 

Part of Edin and Stefan's business plan will be an exit strategy, I'm sure if someone came along with an offer that is right they will listen.

They aren't going to want to walk away so early in their project with a loss or break figure, they want profit. Anyone serious about buying the club at this time will need to make them a profit, which potentially at this moment in time will mean them paying more than the true value of the company.

If you stump up 78% I maybe could manage 22%, not sure we'd ever agree on team selection and such, I'm very much a believer in a manager bringing his own players in IMO that is the only way he can be fairly judged rather than the present method.

 

But it’s these kind of comments that do you no favours. Ricc has been more critical of the club than most- nobody will argue against that. I have also been critical of the club on certain matters.

But you (and a couple of others) constantly claiming we are ALWAYS negative is just poor. It’s almost as poor as a Simon Parker ‘scoop’. If you didn’t add falsities to make your point, it would be so much better for all involved.

 

If I am honest I would have preferred a tradional manager only because that’s us what we have known for all these years
But it works on the continent and I hope it works here as well

I'm sure you could right, no owner wants to sell at a loss but as they have very little apart from the clubs registration and players with little transfer value if things did go tits up and as some have already shown by not renewing their season ticket that revenue could change dramatically, what was once a good investment can quickly turn around to become a poor investment.
Not too sure Stefan would want to lose his 78% but who knows he did after all quote "my investment was a risk worth taking" .

They are in it for the long term and are not interested in short term gains or they would have invested elsewhere.

 

That's something that gets quoted on a regular basis, but it still remains there are winners and losers, up to a point that can be put down to the head coach, but I'd suggest the more successful clubs you mention are the bigger spenders just as they are over here, no guarantees but certainly a head start on teams that can't match the other clubs spending power.
