It's a hell of a post, not sure who he/she is trying to convince, "i back edin and the team they have a plan long term for the club. we are in for a few difficult seasons no doubt however we could build a great club long term" this comment is very worrying, long term the the Championship will become a league within it's self and unless you have very wealthy owners/owner you can forget the dream.

    Resurrecting this trail.

We need some humble pie for the Edin Out brigade....no ambition...,won't spend money...can't attract players because everyone hates him?

    You know who you are.

Own up and at give the guy some credit where it is due.

While you were all screaming and moaning, weeping, wailing snd gnashing your teeth it appears he was quietly getting on with the job of recruiting players and putting in place the infrastructure to support growth.

This is what you wanted. He has delivered.

    Give it up for him.

Or are you desperately looking for something..,,anything to complain about?

    Norman

I like Edin, like him even more if he can get Wyke to sign a new contract and get one more striker and a keeper. Things are really starting to take shape in my opinion

I was very critical and still am of some of his actions, however without question ha has restored some of my faith in him as our chairman

Edin is still not liked by many at the club and those that have recently left. I know this to be fact and have heard it from key figures. I’m not prepared to say exactly what, but I’ve read text messages that clearly state that ie “I can’t stay around and see the club being run the way it is”

So for me it’s a huge well done in the transfer market, a huge well done for staying out of the limelight during all this activity, but My challenge to Edin is that he now brings the people at this club together and works on being more open minded and easier to work for moving forward

If( and it’s a big if ) he gets that right then who knows what we can achieve this season

It was always going to take time for him/them to clear out the old guard and the club within a club. It was going to ruffle feathers as we don’t like change. We will just have to wait and see. I haven’t agreed with everything he has done or the way he has put himself across via the media but if the season starts well things will be forgotten until it goes wrong.

Totally agree with you @City loyal@City loyal. Time to work on his ppl skills, it is important that ppl want to work here whether it is on the pitch or behind the scenes. I have said this before, it is these ppl that will support you through the tricky times. Never be afraid to admit you were wrong, make ppl feel great, and they will perform better. Those that cannot work towards the end goal will need to go, but you need to be doing this with kindness and respect.

More to be delivered before I can join this particular train. A 'good' few days in the transfer market now answers little at this stage. The past is still relevant.

In saying that, I hope he grows stronger within BCFC, piecing the jigsaw together as each of us benefit, the fans, players, contractors, sponsors and of course, Edin.

I've said it before, I'll say it again. I wish him well.

I was massively critical of Edin's regime only 4-6 weeks ago and called for him out, however now i'm firmly on the fence after this pleasantly surprising summer transfer window. It really has restored confidence in the supporters and I must admit, I am now considering purchasing a season ticket after refusing to renew previously.

We'd be in a much better position if we'd scrap the development squad garbage.

We'd also be in a much better position if Edin kept his mouth shut and didn't act like a tyrant, because there would be a whole lot more love going around (and love in football equates to ticket sales which in turn equate to pennies).

We've signed a couple of good-looking players. We have the potential to field a strong team. But the farcical management recruitment process followed by an over-the-weekend appointment of 'a guy' from within has been embarrassing.

But I think overall, it looks like we'll do okay again. Improvement? Uncertain. Likely? For me, probably not. Relegation? Doesn't look like it.

    Balance, mate.

    Less triumphalist bullspit please!

Not sure bringing a boat load of players in stops you being a control freak but we can always hope.
If Charlie signed a new deal it would demonstrate Edin’s promotion ambition over his let’s make a profit ambition. I’m excited to see what standard we have brought in. It’s way too early to prove Edin has learned anything. Maybe he’s convinced the goldfish.

As I said on a earlier post the good thing Edin seems to have learnt is to keep his mouth shut regarding recruitment but the proof will be in the pudding come end of season if we are successful.

Surely you need to wait and see who is brought in as Charlie's replacement before assuming selling him means Edin is only interested in profit?

    Not really.

Edin said he wants to run us as a profitable business and nothing else is acceptable.

His plan is to buy players and sell them for more.

It's not really a secret or a wild guess, is it?

Investing in a replacement does NOT signify Edin isn't interested in profit - it's just another way to make more.

In fact, he'd be pretty moronic if he wasn't ultimately interested in profits, either from the Wyke deal or anything else.

The criticism he recieved last season was well and truly justified. We showed no ambition in the transfer market, built a threadbare squad, messed up the January transfer window, slashed the overall wage budget and regressed significantly after coming so close the season before. Couple that with all the behind the scene issues and shocking PR aswell as Rahic's interviews suggesting giving very little was going to change and I don't know why you would expect anything different. If he deserves the plaudits (which he is getting and rightly so) then he can expect criticism when it is due. You can't have it both ways.

What has happened this pre season is what we wanted all along. None of this nonsense such as releasing statements, offering free travel, giving extended interviews and holding fan forums. Just signing a group of players who can excite fans and delivering us with a team that we can get behind. Everything else is almost irrelevant. It's yet to be seen if his decision to appoint Collins as coach is a good one, but so far so good and long may it continue.

What is telling is the calibre of players who want to come and play under the management team. Clearly they have been told the style of play we expect to play and that has attracted them.

So to me the coaching team is already doing its job.

To be fair @Norman Corner@Norman Corner has raised a valid point.

He isn't jumping the gun rather than just pointing out that the chairmen seem to be putting their money where their mouth is.

I suspect the Scannell deal was temporarily held up by the Vincelot deal. Good swap IMHO.
