Dublin in chaos this evening after rioting mobs attack police and public transport after the horrific stabbings of young children.

Rumours soon started to circulate that the attacker was a migrant.

Over the top reaction by a load of angry young men, but having family myself in Ireland, I know for a fact that the Irish have had enough of migrants flooding into Dublin.

This is going to get really ugly if it is confirmed the attacker of these children is indeed a migrant.

A puzzling one as to why they would flood Ireland with hundreds of thousands of young migrant men. What exactly is there for them? Not exactly overflowing with jobs is it? And i'd argue there are far better places for young people of that background to settle, the Algerian lad i was speaking to last week moved to Leeds from Halifax as, in his words, its dead after 7 o'clock.

Away from Dublin and Ireland is a great place to live. I could easily retire there. However, as you say, job wise, not the best place for a migrant to go.

The Dublin natives are becoming even more restless than we are over the number of migrants wandering around harassing the locals and tourists in the streets. There has also been street robberies a plenty.

A friend of mine only last week visited Dublin for the first time ever and he was shocked at the number of migrants in the city centre.

Not sure what the answer is, but immigration needs to be somehow seriously reduced both in Ireland and the Uk

I remember someone telling me of his trips to Milan some years back to see family and how shocked he was to see the area around the historic train station, folk openly urinating and defecating in the streets. Now the whole of Europe bar a couple of countries is seeing the effects of complete uncontrolled open borders. It isn't really the migrants fault, they are just pawns in some game of deliberate social engineering. Let me stress to the less intelligent, there is nothing wrong with controlled immigration. But not what we currently see masquerading under the cover of 'asylum or refugee'. As the Algerian lad i've referenced a few times said to me, he didn't come over here because he hated his country or he was being persecuted, far from it. He loved the place. Just no work.

Equally, if you are willing to graft and make a better life for yourself i have no problem with anyone wanting to make one in. Lest be honest, some of the laziest workshy oxygen thieves in the country are from people who would class themselves as indigenous to these shores and would be the first to shout send them back. These lazy shiesters would be the first i'd deport. Usually found on council estates complaining about others having never done a days work in their lives.

I went to Milan for day trip whilst staying in Lake Garda 5 years ago.
The whole of the day in Milan was spent dodging scruffy intimidating migrants harassing you for money

There are plenty of work-shy Slovakians, Albanians, Czech's around Girlington let me assure you.

Often see them drinking cans of lager outside the Ladbrokes opposite Morrisons from 8am onwards and throughout the day. Completely useless to society.

Turns out the attacker is an Irish citizen.

"Sources have indicated to the BBC that the man suspected of carrying out the attack is an Irish citizen in his late 40s who has lived in the country for 20 years."

Funny how all these young men managed to leave work early to go and riot. Got some really understanding bosses over there.

I wonder why they don't riot every time other people are stabbed? I would say the far right would be right behind the misinformation and the gullible masses bought it because it fits the narrative.

Far right racists who don't care that a 5 year old was stabbed, all they care about is spreading their hatred.

Why do some folk label people who are fed up with the overload of migrants and say enough is enough, as far right racist.

I am as fed up as a lot of the other mostly silent majority of people about immigration, but far right or racist I ain't.

By the way, in no way am I condoning the actions of the thugs in Dublin who reacted to the stabbings by rioting

What does looting a shop have to do with immigration? There isn't a overload of migrants, that is a racist rhetoric fed by racists like Nigel Farage or like how the racists automatically decided on the colour of the skin of the person driving the car that crashed on the bridge on the Canada/USA crossing. I hope you tell Ciaran Kelly to go back to Ireland as he's not welcome here.

What does looting a shop have to do with the BLM movement?

We both know the answer. It's just low life, entitled chancers who want something for free and to cause mayhem in the meantime.

Look at the amount of theft happening all over the United States at the moment, people just walking out of stores, unchallenged with bagfulls of gear to probably sell on.

This isn't a right or a left wing problem, this is absolutely a wider society issue.

Ridiculous comparison. The vast, vast majority of people don't have a problem with 'immigration'. It's such a generic term as to be meaningless, and shouting down people who fairly outline their concerns as 'racist' is the crux of much of society's problems.

What many people have an issue with is uncontrolled immigration, to the point it overwhelms public services and funding, is ultimately funded by tax payers who never voted for such, forcibly meshes together very, very different cultures and belief systems and gall at the lopsided treatment ha ded out to illegal immigrants in comparison to impoverished folks who've paid into the system for years, and/or made huge sacrifices for the country by serving it.

It's demonstrably clear- communities who've been overloaded with huge volumes of immigration have underlying and increasingly open tensions. And it's only going to get worse by any attempt at sensible dialogue gets shouted down as 'racist'.

Spot on. Society is breaking down in much of the world, I'm convinced of it.

I'm pleased for you that you feel you are immune from the consequences of mass legal and illegal immigration but we don't all feel quite so secure but as NM alludes to again it is only part of the story that plagues our society..
