Slightly surprised by the 'meh' response on here, and not just from the usual culprits. Doyle isn't Gordon Banks but he's more than good enough for the level we're at (and will be dropping to).

No-one could question Doyle's (of all players) loyalty to the club, but if he has been told the only offer is a pay cut, then that's Rahic taking the piss again.

Someone earlier suggested maybe we've got a replacement lined up: well on recent form, sorry if I'm not salivating in anticipation.

You're correct let's wait and see, but because for whatever reason Doyle went we now need someone better as our number 1 and at least someone as good as back up, we don't want to be in a similar situation as last season relying on poor back up.

 

That would be fantastic and Doyle would soon be forgotten about. I just have very little confidence in these guys I’m afraid. Hope I’m wrong, time will tell.

Doyles wife being playing along for weeks, teasing fans etc.

They wanted the best deal, fair enough but a contract was offered and they rejected. Gone on for six weeks.

A sense of arrogance in the air. Some of our fans are such suck ups.

 

Happens everywhere. Its a social media thing. People feel theyre not responsible for what they type in a world where they think they'll never meet the people they're interacting with.

Somebody sent me a quite rude email the other week. I got up and went to see him and asked him to explain what he'd written using different words. He was quite embarrassed. It was almost funny.

The club clearly need to do more due diligence on who the scout recommends. If the committee have watched these players and all agree then they all want sacking!

 

I'd prefer to go for someone like Ripley. I want some experience in goal with what will be a young side. May not want to play for magic beans though which could be a problem.
