Yorkshire derby, 'mad' Friday, evening kick off, most folk breaking up for Christmas holiday, young uns breaking up from school.

Totally agree. It's a recipe for madness, especially on Mad Friday, when all the travelling coke heads will be stocked up ready for Xmas.

It does. But, despite your sniffy attitude to iFollow, far more people will legally pay to watch on iFollow on Friday night than illegally on Saturday. And those watching on firesticks etc don't pay the club for the privilege.

So it's a win/win for the club - an extra day's recovery time for the players before the Boxing Day game; far more money for the club from iFollow; the away allocation will probably sell out anyway, and even if it doesn't it's money lost to Donny, not to us. So, from the club's perspective, it's a no brainer, albeit annoying for those fans who've already made arrangements.

 

As the club receives money for ifollow, does it award loyalty points too?

During Covid iFollow legitimately expanded its services to allow fans to watch who ‘weren’t allowed’ to attend and that was great.

I mean, it's an interesting point. A couple of points per match purchased would discourage those (including myself) to watch every away match I don't attend via firestick.

Might watch at least one 'officially' per month, for example, if points were on offer.

 

If I could watch every game on ifollow on one of our big TV’s I’d happily pay for a season ticket. The fact I’m forced to watch it on an iPad …….they have zero chance. Maybe one gigantic reason why people invest in fire sticks?

Loyalty points has zero interest to me because I don’t profess to be “ Loyal” . I have zero need to do so.

 

Ever heard of a laptop and HDMI cable?

 

No, new tech passed me by years ago. It certainly won’t “cast” from the iPad. Unless you know another way. Lightning connector to HDMI …..do they exist?
