They can all have good game mate but unless we're intending to stay up on the back of 46 0-0 draws we do actually need to score and we haven't scored enough this season.

 

Totally agree for a 26 year old Marquis had all the tricks in the box, and young Paudie O'Connor had a good battle with him.
Once again today we saw playing with a "big mobile lad" gives a team different options, Doyle was bullied all game, I hope Gary Bowyer has one in mind.

 

Then you take him out NKP was not our last defender so a yellow at best, disappointing because the second half we were the team most lickley to score and 1- 0 either way wins the game.

 

Was told yesterday he has 3 already on his list Bronco, (obviously not to get all 3) but hopefully this will not be a shortcoming next season

 

I think that's fair comment with a little bit of luck from Doyle's first half header it could have been so different.

 

When we play 4 5 1 at home and the 1 is Doyle we're not gunna score. And the 5 in midfield are all playing out of position.

 

I agree to an extent, but that was a blatant howler which ultimately cost us. They gave the ball away, just after the Marquis booking, i.e. outfield players rarely have 100% pass completion rates

 

Impressed with Paudie today. He wound up Marquis from the start, in his ear all the time like an old pro. Marquis was totally ineffective, so well done Paudie.

For a yound lad, he alzo wasnt shy in talking and trying to organise his fellow defenders either. Also kept making himself available to receive the ball from O'Donnell, who more or less ignored though

 

We were never likely to score mate, we could have had 70 minutes of added on time and we still would have had the grand total of zero. We woukd have got a point, not that it makes a difference, if our goalkeeper had actually done his job. Thank goodness this season ends soon cos i’ve had enough.

NKP couldn't have risked trying to foul him, he basically had to hold him in a reasonably non-threatening position and make him shoot. He did and it was a shot that should have been saved.

I'm just as frustrated with him these season, but there's a nasty habit of blaming him, Chicksen, Wright or Akpan every match for things that would have been ignored two seasons ago

 

And if we believe his interview he'll be happy to come back next season he could be a good signing.

 

Odonnell poor at beginning of season. Poor middle of season. Poor end of season. But a very good clapper so that's ok .lol get rid

Butterfield has had a good game over all I just thought as the game went on and we were in ascendance Butterfield got a little complacent and that for me was the reason he lost the original ball.
I thought Bowyer could and should have had another striker on the bench, that line up suggested to me he was happy to hope we scored (which we nearly did with Doyle's header) and keep Doncaster out with the 5 across the midfield, this was an ideal game to go for a team that has not got the best away record, they had picked 3 points up from their previous 5 away games.
The little cameo in the Doncaster box in the last 5 minutes or so suggested how we lack confidence in the final 3rd, knocking it from player to player instead of one player putting his foot through the ball there were so many players in the box anyone could have got an deflection if the shot was not on target, so disappointing we deserved something out of the game.

 

And he's kept us in tonnes of games this season.

 

Yeah but did you notice the 5 in midfield were out of (preferred )position .

Sorry your wrong he's keep us in games but we have still lost them games he hasn't helped us win games or contributed in draws

 

Agree as I've posted above very much a park the bus team selection, but to park the bus as you say you have to score first maybe if Doyles header had gone in we could have played that way, the more Doyle tried to win headers (and he tried) everything) their big center half dominated in the air.
