O'Connor has had a good battle with

Hard one to take that. First half was a non entity, two poor teams and a scrappy game.

Second half though was one way traffic, but unfortunately we've got no end product. Battled hard, fought well but when you're simply not good enough in either box, you've got no chance.

Paudie played well, didn't give that whining bitch Marquis a sniff. Why has it taken so long for him to be given a chance?

Even chicksen managed his best performance in 2 years with a solid 6/10 @JonButterfield

Anderson, however, still absolutely hopeless, we may as well play with 10 men.

Donny were just another poor team in this very poor league, they'll be playing league 1 football next year. Shame we won't be.

 

Clarke had a good game today especially second half.

 

Was told yesterday he has 3 already on his list Bronco, (obviously not to get all 3) but hopefully this will not be a shortcoming next season

 

And if we believe his interview he'll be happy to come back next season he could be a good signing.

 

That 'winding up' ended up in a dangerous player, looking like a pony tailed wimp (glad he was OK after that collision though)

It was good, for once to see some cynical slightly nasty tactics from one of our players (maybe he's our next Tony McMahon). You could tell the Rovers players suddenly realised that this was a team that actually wouldn't roll over. Sadly all too late, but good to see that Bowyer realises, like Parkinson, that this is a key ingredient to success

 

So, after today, just 6 wins needed out of our next 5 games should see us safe....!!

 

Couldn’t agree more. Had a chance of still scraping out of relegation and Bowyer went even more defensive. Whilst there is a chance of avoiding relegation you might as well lose 5-4 than 1-0 . But hey look what he did at Blackpool.

 

Not getting Ball signed up for us in january has really cost the squad- too many loanees so no Miller on the bench.

If Doyle gets injured then who would have gone upfront- billy Clarke?

TBF he did have a good second half and was involved in most of the play. Certainly a quite 1st half for sure.
You don't rate him that's clear but he did no less than any other city player on the pitch today.

I'd love to know where all these wonderful talented, committed players are that Bowyer is going to bring in for next season on free transfers and low wages and happy to play for a club on a downward spiral....?

 

Note the name Rhodes cropping up in critical posts ! Something that's going to be on "the agenda" quite a bit in the weeks, months and year(s) to come. Suggest he goes large on a new "Teflon suit" he's going to need it ! It's simply not enough to come up with "the same old platitudes" he ushered out over a decade ago we need to see some substance ! And that starts with Bradford City securing ALL the right key players in the right positions to hammer our way out of that awful league we are now in ! And not having us looking up that awful league envious that Solihull blooming Moors or Leyton bleeding Orient have better players than us !. There should be no hiding place for Rupp, Rhodes or Bowyer if they fail us.

 

Well looking at where he acquired players the last couple of summers for Blackpool, they were mainly from League 1, League 2 and even non-league. Going on their performance the other week, and their position in the league table, it didn't look as if he made a bad job of it.

 

Really Fordy? I think you'll find he has 'splashed' a hell of a lot of money bringing players into the club this season, maybe not on transfer fees but in terms of wages and loan agreements he's spent an absolute fortune compared to what we have been used to for the past few years. The problem is that the money he has spent has not been spent wisely. I lay the blame for most of that at Mr Rahic's door but with hindsight, he also made the mistake of forking out thousands in January to keep Payne here for the rest of the season instead of investing it in the areas we needed to strengthen. Money has been there this season of that there is no doubt ,but the way it has been wasted is scandalous.

 

You realize whether Bowyer fails or not will be determined next year, right? Not this year?

Thats just bollocks, do you sack your management team every couple of months at your work if they don't achieve miraculous results with a team that has shown no desire whatsoever to achieve anything other than failure. I stopped giving a feck about this season a while ago and just want it to be over, expecting anything from this lot is just going to make you even more miserable fordy as youll be waiting a while.
