Who is the 'second striker' to play alongside the languid, plodding Doyle?

We have several attacking players, ie, Clarke and Ball, who just aren't strikers, and then we're left with Miller and Patrick.

Miller and Doyle haven't worked as a pairing all season, and Patrick is baba.

Doncaster comfortably in the play offs looked bang average today. One mistake and they win away for the first time this season.

Yet again City help a club end an abysmal record.
Pity the ball did not find the back of the net when it hit the post and bounced out - good move and play by the individuals involved.

I thought we played ok today, similar to last week at Charlton where we were punished for one sloppy bit of play. The same old problem, absolutely f*ck all in the top 3rd of the pitch. If we’d had a target man type replacement for Wyke would we be bottom 4 - probably....but would we have been 7 points adrift - no.

Poor from ghost hands O’Donnell for the goal. Vastly over rated keeper. Problem is no matter how poor he is, there is no competition for his position.

There isn't a manager out there who would have done any different with this squad. Not one. No one has the first clue how Bowyer will do next season, could be a success there again might not. Like i said to Fordy, this club was destined to go down as soon as Rahic ripped up the Wembley squad and not one manager that has come in since then has made one iota of difference. You might be right, Bowyer might turn out to be an abject failure. But lets give him time to build his own squad first. At the moment he's having to deal with the shite left behind by others.

 

Go on, name me anyone who could have made a difference with this squad and tell me what he would have done? Please tell me because i'm telling you now, Pep frigging Guardiola couldn't have made a difference with this squad.

Had Bowyer been recruited instead of Hopkin, I’d be pretty sure we’d have been higher than we are. Whoever came in with 11 games to go wouldn’t stand a chance with the options available to them.

Has 5 managers in just over 12 months taught you nothing? 5 attempts and all failed. What makes you think number 6 would be any different.

You’re never happy unless you’ve got something to moan about. No City fan is happy with the results on the pitch, but judging by the comments from the club about a flurry of season ticket sales, I’d say most are happy with his appointment and the stability it brings.

Our record so far this season under 3 different managers has been dire to say the least, and looking at the table most would say a knocking away win, which sounds logical, but as I've posted above this time of the season teams get very nervy and form goes out of the window.
We accept this squad has good individual players but have not performed constantly as a team, when they have during that late period before Christmas we looked a very good team, we just need to find that sort of performance on Saturday, and Doncaster could be in for a surprise, and then the run in is not the hardest, 3 points for me on Saturday .

I've plenty of crap to remember mate and reminisce about they far outweigh the good times, but as yourself I'll be down if its only to get from under the wifes feet .

 

I get where you're coming from Jon but Christ, haven't we plumbed enough depths in our time?
