I've some experience of marketing emails and this has all the hallmark of a f@#k up.
I suspect it's been issued in error. Maybe it should have gone to the folk who swapped seats. Wasn't the deadline this week.?
Looks like someone set the wrong parameters and it's gone to all current ST holders regardless of whether you renew or not.

Wont happen. Rupp wont let us go bust. Means he gets nothing returned on his investment and it damages his reputation - he’d be considered a disinterested, passive, naive fool if it happened.

he’ll sack Sparks first. Bringing in a new CEO and making a clear plan for the club in the next few years would get the dissenters to renew. Rupp isn’t giving up on his investment then. We may need to extend the ST discount deadline but it would be necessary to bring in as much renewal income as possible.

I suspect more fans actually have an issue with the clueless Sparks running the show more than they do with Rupp himself.

 

This argument is flawed as he doesn’t walk around with £100 million in his pocket, that’s his entire wealth for the rest of his life; life savings, pension, assets etc.

The only way that would be correct would be to ask if you are happy to lose 5% of all you own. Would you be happy if you did? I know I wouldn’t.

Also he wants a rumoured £8-10 million for the club, so it’s like putting 5% of your wealth into an investment you expect to make a profit on, which makes the loss hurt even more.

He will want his money, personally if I was him I’d publicly announce the club is up for sale for £1 million. It would sell quickly, give him a million quid he didn’t previously have and get a milestone from around his neck.

So apparently according to a conversation held with rupp today by a fan, Rupp stated he had put £500k into this season's budget as he felt that the agreed budget of £2.3m was too small.

Interesting off the back of sparks comment at the beginning of the season that rupp has put in nothing since he had been CEO

 

You are the one stating it’s like losing £5 to him, so why not take a million which he wouldn’t otherwise have? Plus he wouldn’t tarnish his reputation. The £5 million is gone, it was 8 years ago and his investment has regressed. Time to get out asap with what he can get, rather than wait for an unrealistic amount and risk either having to put his own money in or losing the lot.

 

I doubt the current set up knows how to spend the money wisely. The evidence is there for all to see. Mid table mediocrity with a top 5 budget.

 

I can tell you now that Rupp won’t purchase Valley Parade. There isn’t a chance of that happening.

 

Out of curiosity if you and these many thousands of deserters got their way and forced Rupp out and we subsequently fell into non league, can I assume then the many thousands would renew their season tickets and come back even if we fell as far down as Scunthorpe?

 

People will not renew as the product on the pitch is shite. Square that off with Rupp first. If you dare.
