It's positive for me that Sparks has been behind new management and coaching appointments in the academy and youth development sides. Sparks is sussed enough to know they're not suddenly going to walk into the first team, but is putting alot of effort into upping our game with younger players. Adams job is to win us promotion, not to be in charge of bringing young players through.

Think you've rhetorically answered your questions twice there Border, and I agree with both. We are in League Two, and Premier League ( and I'd add, Championship) academies come knocking. When we eventually get back to Championship level, we'll be moving into the same ball park. In the meanwhile, we should as get as much money as we can from our youngsters to help the club move forward - and upwards! In the meanwhile, Adams total focus should be on just two things. Promotion. And then another promotion.

Totally agree with you on that. League Two clubs, with ambitions to be in the Championship, don't have the time to develop players to get there, whilst those that accept they are "semi-permanent" league two clubs and know their ceiling (like Exeter) do.

We aspire (or should) to the Championship and to stay there and at that point we can stop selling our talent at 14/15 and develop it.

Adams knows this, and I suspect Sparks does as well.
