It’s England’s tactic now in ODIs though, regardless of pitch if we win the toss bowl first. As we should we have the best batting line up in the world. Whatever a team like Pakistan can get we can get far more. Although you’re right about the fielding, their score is far higher than it should be, but I’m not nervous unless they get a wicket in the next few overs. This is very comfortable atm. Roots special, but Buttlers a monster.

 

Game on now Roots gone, can Butler and Ali see us over the line now the talisman has gone.

 

Pakistan have to be big favorites now.

 

Fantastic game which I thoroughly enjoyed, well with the exception of the result. Imagine losing a game with two centurions.

A superb effort by Pakistan who on balance deserved it both with bat and ball. England will have better days especially in the field.

 

I missed the fielding, only managed to catch a bit of us batting. Class from Buttler & Root, Shame others not on same level.-+

 

Big game today, win and with the likes of Sri Lanka and Afghanistan still to play and I think we can say semi finals here we come. West indies or Windies whatever they call themselves now look good though this is probably the biggest game so far for us.

 

Jason Roy injury is a bit of a worry for sterner tests later in the competition.

 

England in real trouble here at 26-3. Going to take a big performance to get out of this.

 

England unlikely to qualify, They have blown up

 

The usual england bottle job at cricket, never ever won the world cup at 50 overs.

Good hosts and should now move aside and let bangladesh or pakistan into the semi's, they are not over rated and have some fight in them.

And being such good hosts the aussies can keep the ashes, there is no fight in the english dog.

 

Another poor performance from England. Not in the same class as the Aussies or Indians

May struggle to even qualify for the semi's now.

This England side really struggle batting second and chasing even moderate totals at time

 

Think the Sri Lanka shock has totally drained their confidence, from looking like an easy qualification it now looks like we might need other teams too do us a favour. Shame as we totally out classed Australia in ODIs in recent times but never showed up. Only saving grace is we play India at Edgebaston, usually a fortress for us. Considering how crap we always are at lords there’s probably no point in getting to the final anyway!

 

Watching NZ today I feel with Jason Roy back we will beat them which will be enough to scrape through....

 

Pakistan excellent in a great game today.

Squeaky bum time for England.
But at least it shows that NZ are beatable.

Whatever happens with England, this has been an excellent tournament so far.

 

Surely England can't throw this game against India away ?.

 

Fantastic win, still think we’ll win the tournament. Blip over win 3 games and it’s done. Best team in the world in these conditions.

Probably lose and be out against New Zealand now I’ve said that!

 

I envisaged is winning all our games then losing in semi. To be fair all you have to do is finish in the top four then win the next two games

He is a very useful lower order batsman as well as can clear the ropes
