They’ve bowled fantastic at the death here.

 

Fantastic game which I thoroughly enjoyed, well with the exception of the result. Imagine losing a game with two centurions.

A superb effort by Pakistan who on balance deserved it both with bat and ball. England will have better days especially in the field.

 

To a man, I thought Pakistan were outstanding. The openers were aggressive, disciplined and accumulated runs intelligently. Bowlers were disciplined and the tone set brilliantly by Shadab Khan when he trapped Roy.

Were England complacent? I think their is a case for this. That said, I just think our levels were not up to that of Pakistan today.

The biggest criticism today was how England got frustrated and suffered indiscipline. If they want to be world champions, they will have to control their emotions.

 

Poor bowling and some out of customary poor fielding cost the England team but well done Pakistan who just about deserved the win,

 

I missed the fielding, only managed to catch a bit of us batting. Class from Buttler & Root, Shame others not on same level.-+

 

Unfortunately, having Moen batting at seven is looking less than clever at the moment. His batting seems to work in inverse proportion to his bowling.

 

The Afghan wicketkeeper must be the most overweight cricketer I have ever seen. Although, to be fair to him, he did quite well.

 

Big game today, win and with the likes of Sri Lanka and Afghanistan still to play and I think we can say semi finals here we come. West indies or Windies whatever they call themselves now look good though this is probably the biggest game so far for us.

 

What a win, made it look so easy shame I was at work for the bowling looking forward to the highlights.

The Aire-Wharfe Second Division in the mid to late 80s would have provided a bit of competition! Can remember a few players desperate to field first so they could start their ale consumption for the day at 4pm rather than 7...

 

I played in the Aire-Wharfe league in the mid to late 70s for Thackley Juniors and Second team. Loved it

 

I was at Crossflatts. Good memories of going out to places like Rawdon and Horsforth.

 

Jason Roy injury is a bit of a worry for sterner tests later in the competition.

 

England in real trouble here at 26-3. Going to take a big performance to get out of this.

 

England unlikely to qualify, They have blown up

 

The usual england bottle job at cricket, never ever won the world cup at 50 overs.

Good hosts and should now move aside and let bangladesh or pakistan into the semi's, they are not over rated and have some fight in them.

And being such good hosts the aussies can keep the ashes, there is no fight in the english dog.

 

Another poor performance from England. Not in the same class as the Aussies or Indians

May struggle to even qualify for the semi's now.
