I agree that the delay after the 2nd killed the momentum, and it was completely needless. But it won't be the reason we don't go up, and isn't the reason we lost.

In all honesty we dont deserve playoffs.. too inconsistent and not enough quality to see the game out..
Even if we by some miracle we make playoffs then no way we’ll beat any of our rivals

You dont expect a regular championship player dropping two levels to perform like smallwood has. He has been a poor signing.

 

The recruitment in Jan was a joke and in someway to us lacking strength in depth. A kid who has never played or scored league football and an old injury prone player who wanted home from India. Other team strenthend while we weakened the squad

Cook is 100% off if/when we don't go up. Smallwood has been OK for me, but why we keep him on set pieces I don't know. Agree that Walker has disappointed. I just look at our performances and far too many leave me thinking we're stuck in 2nd gear. It just isn't working. Until we become more direct and dynamic, we're going nowhere.

I have to say I’d be more annoyed if we played well and undeservedly lost. However we were awful and got what we deserved, which was nothing.

If you look at the season as a whole, we are exactly where we deserve to be. We haven’t shown we are worthy of autos whatsoever, and now even the play offs are in jeopardy. It wouldn’t surprise me in the slightest if we dropped out. At least it would save the pain of not getting through them as I can’t see us being the best team over 4 games.

 

We are a set of pricks. We are also supported by some utter pricks.

You can bet it'll be the same group of fans responsible for the pyros being set off. All the club have to do is identify them and ban them from entering the stadium. With cctv being what it is these days, surely it can't be that difficult.

 

Agree on both. The style and overall quality of the squad just isn't good enough. I think Lewis, and the defence generally (especially Stubbs) are ok. But we need to be more direct and aggressive, and we need much more pace and quality up front for next season.

 

His contract is up on 21st June that will be our choice is he stays or not, unlucky with his injuries or not we cant risk paying a player who does not play. as Fordy would say were not a charity.

 

Does that make his appearances for us better than what we actually see with our own eyes.

He may have had a decent career at Scunny, but he hasn’t here. These are the latest observations, as opposed to 3-4 seasons ago.

 

No promotion chasing side will look at Eisa in the summer, neither should we if we are still in this league.

He might have had one good season in 20/21 (behind closed doors season) but no team worth the challenge is taking on a winger with one good season under their belt and who has barely been fit for 2 years. Unlucky for the lad as he came here with some promise under his belt but you can only go by what you see, any we weren't able to see enough.

 

I can't remember either but thats probably because I have tried to banish that whole period from my memory! Whatever the outcome of this season, for me it's been far and away the most enjoyable since the Millwall Wembley loss. Theres been lots of doom and gloom on here, but whilst I get some of the frustrations, I actually look forward to matchdays now which certainly hasnt been the case in recent memory!
