I don't agree it's down to Hughes.

Hughes' tactics have led to Cook scoring 31 so far. We'd have given our right arm to get Eoin Doyle scoring like that, but we never could.

The issues we've got are down to the players, and many of them brought in since Hughes came aboard, but I think the general trend with signings is continuous improvement - just not fast enough or efficient enough to make a difference this year.

 

I agree and it doesn’t give me any pleasure to say so. Where were the cool heads? Once again no leadership but that has been the case all season. You have to be cool and ruthless and nerves of steel.

It's just every bloody time something is on the line, we can't do anything. Players hiding, players having off days, players unable to cope.

 

Some of our fans are morons we were in the ascendance and they get the game stopped, well done lads without your input there was no way the referee would have added 10 minutes.

 

Many of these players need a hard look at themselves with the performances tonight and the manager who should have shut up shop.I don’t know if walker is carrying a injury but he doesn’t look right and our midfield of Smallwood and Gilliead are not good enough.

 

@Fordy117 , that’s a hell of a claim comparing him to Wright. I’m certainly not claiming Smallwood is pulling up trees and have referenced many times this season he’s been below average too many times. But singling him out as a disgrace is a shot too far IMO.

I don't think Cooks success is down to Hughes tactics. I genuinely don't. The majority of his goals (from memory) are down to set pieces or him making something from nothing. As a side, we don't create much. And I think we'll regress without Cook next season.

Hughes really has underwhelmed for me. Obviously flaws on his system, and poor recruitment in January

 

Broncs are season was summed up by that defensive mix up between our two huge centre half who let their player bully them both and he should have scored v poor

 

Teams with nothing to play for apart from £20 win bonus continue to outsmart/outplay us ....

 

We lose by 2, Mansfield win by 2 and it’s game over for this season.

 

Agree 100%. I’d have hooked Stubbs at 60 minutes. Overall though, both have been great this season

 

I'm assuming Cook leaves if we're in League Two, and who could blame him?

That's a heck of a thing for any manager to replace.

We need to avoid Premier League loans, as I still feel we got stung when Tyreik left.

Fishing out a top goalscorer in this division won't be easy, but Hughes must know he needs to find goals all over the pitch, which we've so badly lacked all season.

Unfortunately Walker just hasn't fit in to this system at all, and I'm disappointed with Smallwood overall. I know he got the big talk up when he signed from Hull, and that's not necessarily his fault, but he looks like a very average player to me.

 

We need a 90 plus minutes performance against Orient in which we haven’t done all season.

You dont expect a regular championship player dropping two levels to perform like smallwood has. He has been a poor signing.

 

I honestly believe we have enough to get a play off place, but for the life in me if the game had not been stopped because of a few morons the referee couldn't have added the 10 minutes which was actually nearer 12 minutes by the time he blew, gutted although I don't know why I've seen it so many times over the years.

 

To take the family would cost over £300.
That money can be put to better use, plus I'm sick of watching us bottle the big games.
