Yes we should have won the game unusual Cook missing those sort of easy chances for him but neither Derbyshire, Walker or Banks offered anything gaol wise, so once again if Cook fails to score we can only draw or lose.

 

I don't think Hughes is that dumb , back to winning ways on Monday.

I'll give you that at least we tried today, but unfortunately we just weren't at the races. But I'll take you back to the Newport game where you were equally ecstatic with a point, but where for the last quarter of the match we sat on draw and made no effort whatsoever to go after the win. Those are the games that'll come back to haunt us.
I do think we tried today. I saw no lack of effort or intent and we had more than enough decent chances to win it, but it still doesn't mean a point is a good result

An excellent player, Kemp. Exactly the sort we should have been bringing in on loan. I have to say, we've underperformed in loan recruitment, in January especially. I can't believe we couldn't attract a higher calibre of loan player; we were able to offer a platform of testing players in front of large crowds against the pressure of expected promotion and in a playing style that's common in higher leagues. I can't believe we didn't use that to secure loans for a couple of players who wouldn't ordinarily come to L2

Exactly. 2 points dropped. Not losing ground isn't enough, we need to be gaining ground and to do that we need to string wins together and have more goal contributions from players who aren't Andy Cook.

Carlisle and Northampton are the teams we need to overhaul both have difficult run ins actually playing each other, don't write us off yet.
