I think he means out of general circulation. Even when the virus is not circulating generally, there will still be some cases.

Maybe the comment could be like flu you can never eradicate it but getting jabs ETC will allow people to go about their everyday life as near normal as possible.

That’s what I mean. Flu is circulating in the population which is why we have jabs

As things stand at the moment, the COVID-19 jabs are proving far more effective than the flu jabs, plus the COVID-19 vaccines are being rolled out to far more of the population so, in theory at least, we should be able to control COVID-19 far more than we do flu.

Yep, but the jabs are needed because the virus is in circulation. If it isn’t then jabs shouldn’t even be needed

It will be interesting to see how they go about the booster jabs for Covid this winter, will it be over 75 with underlying medical conditions who get them first as I believe only people over a certain age get flu jabs.

To be honest I was questioning it if after getting both jabs another covid jab with the flu jab in winter might be to much for an individuals body to take.

Looks like it's getting put on back burner while next year due to the affectiveness of the current vaccines against the strains

It was before the vaccine roll out , mine was in February

I think they was trying to keep folk as healthy as possible and out of the doctors and hospitals

yep. Over 50s could get flu free late in the season. I was saying a lot of 50-64 paid for their flu shot at the start ie October/November

Yes we usually go late September early October to the local pharmacy but he told us they were having trouble with supplies so we rang around a few other pharmacies and got in at Rowlands Pharmacy Buttershaw Lane.

Looks like Boris is to announce the next loosening of restrictions from next Monday at a press conference today. GMB had the bed wetters on this morning to spread fear over hugging a family member.

I will be going to the pub, next Monday lunchtime with the other half. It really has been a while.
