Did hear an interesting comment from one of the health experts on TV today talking about the number of deaths. They said the we will only know the true impact of the virus afterwards as the death figures are currently not comparable with other figures such as flu. This is because currently we are just counting anyone positive as a Coronavirus death whereas with flu if they have an underlying disease that they were dying from that is usually classified as the cause of death and it wouldn’t count as a flu death.

so in the future when the stats are looked at the death figure will be lower than is reported during the pandemic

I went for a cycle ride this morning, AFAIK I don't have the virus but as I didn't come into close contact with another human being it wouldn't have made any difference anyway. After gardening and getting bored Mrs Abbo & I walked to Saltaire along the canal and back along the river, along with 100's of other folk, the difference today was nobody stopped and talked, distance was kept, I would never think they were a bellend, how weird.

 

Will they ever know? With so many having had it without ever knowing.

And "Died from coronovirus"? There was big story about a 45 year old doing just that in the Daily Mail, but he was seriously ill with another illness. I recall a 51 year old "Taken by coronovirus" but when I saw his pic he was the size of Jupiter. So in reality, he had led a decades long totally unhealthy lifestyle that had left him vulnerable to a coronory virus.

I am not down playing anything, it's serious when elderly folk who might otherwise live are wiped out by this virus but perspective is being lost day by day and we will regret the consequences of that with future unnecessary human cost.

 

Boris is a bellend. Yesterday he told people not to visit their mother but then said he hoped to visit his. He told the public to avoid pubs and then his aul fella said he would be going the pub. He tells people to practice social distancing then holds a press conference infront of a room full of journalists.

He talks about bringing in tougher restrictions like other countries have and then laughs when someone suggests using the Police force. What are we going to have advisory curfews and advisory lock downs?

His delivery is extremely poor. So 1.5 million will get letters and told to stay in but I take it @Bronco and other over 70's have bills to pay? How they going to get paid? What if they need money?

Many are clearly not listening to his social contact.

Every world leader is struggling to get this virus under control. BoJo also said draconian measures will be needed if people carry on congregating.

Many world leaders are thinking about the economy but as I have said we should have no half measures in this and the world needs to do a 3 month lock down together then we see where we are at the end of it.

However, with Boris his delivery is extremely poor and you always left with not fully understanding his points. Poor presentation skills.

 

Another story of an 84 year old in poor health left practically unaffected by Covid-19. We can go on like this forever.

Why do they have to be? The whole monetary system is designed to serve the few private individuals and designed to keep regular people in debt and forced to do things like go to work knowing you ae sick. If it was just agreed to stick that system on hold to deal with this who really loses?
