100% - and i can see a lot of people being happy about it but it doesn't work for me, It's not a long term solution and there's no way out of it.

It's good for covid suppression obviously but as I've said countless times on this if people are given this sort of power they don't relinquish it easily. The balance between controlling the virus and getting life back to normal seems to have tipped in a way I don't really like.

What is this stupid fuss about Whether we can go on holiday this year. Surely getting people vaccinated and getting people back to work and people Suffering from other conditions treated before we worry about holidays I booked a holiday for 2020 obviously couldnt go so instead of putting more pressure on jet 2 I rebooked for next June and I accept I won’t be able to go let’s accept it and move on

Most of it is the media just trying to force the government to make future predictions so they can hold it against them at a later date. Thankfully they're at least trying to stick to the wait and see line.

More importantly if there's no holidays this year, what will have to occur to make travel possible in 2022 or future years.

And a lot of it is out of our government hands. They can say yep you can go but if other countries don’t open their borders it doesn’t matter

I don't know probably. Just thought it was funny yesterday when Grant Shapps said no one should be booking holidays home or abroad and in the same say Hancock says he's booked to go to Cornwall. Mind you the G7 summit is in Carbis Bay. He might mean that

Another scheme drawn up on the back of a beer mat.
Wait until vaccine passports show their face. All the over 50s who have been vaccinated will be able to do as they please whilst the rest of us will be looked upon as lepers.

The non vulnerable and last in line for the vaccine have been obeying the lockdown rules to protect the very people who are now getting the vaccine.

Compliance will fall to zero if those with the jab are given preferential treatment over those who are having to wait in line.

looking at those in town shopping and ignoring the rules a lot of them are non vulnerable and last in the line, probably a majority but only just, there are also a lot ignoring the rules who are much higher up the list so very hard to throw a sweeping statement.

I think we will see compliance drop the more people have had their jabs, especially when people have had their second.

I’m just trying to book my second one

Just tuning in to watch 2nd test match India v England, very surprised to see a sizable non social distanced crowd. I thought it was a recording of an old match at first glance.

Are certain parts of India Covid free then?

Yes I was. At the time they had the lowest rate of infection in the country. That said it was very busy with tourists. We visited 4 restaurants. Only time we have been "out out" since last March. Just unlucky I guess.
