£2k fines and up to 10 years in prison should do it.

Great idea in relation to stopping the virus - absolute disgrace in terms of civil liberties. When are these basic freedoms going to be given back? In 2030 when all the world have been vaccinated?

 

Or killed off.. !!

 

Once again Scotland are doing what the whole of the UK should do.

 

What are they doing?

 

all international arrivals will need to stay in allocated hotels for their isolation period as well as having the extra PCR tests, England are just doing the hotels for those arriving from high risk countries

The other tragic side of the coin to those clamouring for never ending lockdown. There are lot of people hurting out there, not just ones with Covid.

 

Many international arrivals to Scotland come via Heathrow and Gatwick to Edinburgh and Glasgow so how will they be processed?

 

they have to isolate in a hotel, they are working with border control in England.

but if they get off plane in England and then drive/train to Scotland they would escape

 

And charging about £165 per night to stay in forced quarantine on return to UK (currently returning from particular hot spot countries).

I've just read the Independent which outlines what the cost includes- "Bookings will be made through a dedicated online portal and will include: assigned government transportation; food and drinks; accommodation in a government-approved facility; security; welfare; testing."
Going to be a costly experience!

 

that is the cost for a single person in a single room. It is a supplement for each extra person rather than same again

 

Have they released details of the second day and eighth day testing? As in how does it work? Do you have to go somewhere or does someone come to your house or is it post? Whichever way, except someone coming to the house, it will involve leaving your isolation

 

Just seen that in Northern Ireland they are saying that all restrictions will not be lifted till between 70-80% of the population have been vacinated. If that is same over here then those refusing to be done might hold back relaxation of rules

 

They get a yellow band for their wrist "all inclusive" I hear.

 

The more I see about this quarantine thing the more I think it's a disgrace. When are they ever going to stop these restrictions is the key point - as is how countries get on or off the red list.

 

this is the sort of scheme that New Zealand and other countries that controlled phase 1 of the disease did. At the time everyone was praising them for shutting boarders etc
