Missed that. And whilst I disagree if he said that, he is not wrong in what he said today.

 

Oh I agree. But its typical of MPs isn't it. They can all talk the talk, but when it comes to walking, they fall flat on their arse.

 

It came out of Radio 5 Live the other day when the Director of Public Health in Gateshead said they had requested additional lockdown measures, then when it came the council leaders were up in arms.

Remember when we were in full lockdown? We could actually go into people's gardens, why now with rates at a fraction of what they were have we not be allowed to do so in Bradford since July, effectively pushing people into pubs and restaurants that the government now sees as a threat to such an extent you can't meet another household inside them in large parts of the north.

Why is no one questioning these decisions? These lockdowns aren't working as the rates are still going up, why is that? Is it because enforcement is a joke? I would have thought so but this is happening across such a large area it can't simply be that. Is it because it was devised on the back of a beer mat and you can't point at and restriction that has worked?

The areas with the highest rates at the moment are the university cities. The jump has happened since school have gone back, yet we are still being told that holdhold transmission is the catalyst when household in the high rate areas haven't been allowed to mix for months.

The whole strategy is garbage and no one has any balls to cut through the "there will be hundreds of thousands of deaths" rubbish that Hancock uses as a free pass. When given the chance to question the PM the journalists are more bother about daft point scoring rather than tearing the PM a new one by hammering him on the restrictions and what are the reasons for them and what proof he has that they work.

A good post. It’s clear we want the economy open and don’t care now what the cost is. Hide behind the fact we have local “lockdowns” and get on with it.

 

a lot depends on why they weren’t reached. Did they not answer, give fake number, Track and trace didn’t ring.

Without that detail we don’t know if it isn’t working due to shit set up or people not taking part

 

SNP MP or should I say Independant MP Margaret Ferrier has added to the embarrassment of today.

From Boris's dad shopping without a mask and Corbyn having a dinner party for 9 we have the bar raised to a new level.

The former SNP MP felt ill and took a test. Instead of returning home to wait for the test result she took the train to Westminster and spoke in parliament. Then after receiving a positive result from the test she took before travelling down to Westminster she jumped back on the train to Scotland.

She has since apologised, but I think this will run.

 

So you are either advocating a full lockdown or none at all?
